APPEARANCE HEIGHT 5'9" WEIGHT 172 lbs Aki Uchiha is a fit, slim man standing at 5'9" with rather messy black hair, which almost reaches down to his shoulders and is tied into a ponytail, most of the hair that would cover his face is brushed to the right side of his face covering up his scarred right eye socket. He has black eyes and a thin scar across the bridge of his nose. He normally wears a light-colored, leopard-patterned kimono that only covers the right half of his torso, beneath which he wears armor that is light in the chest but dark everywhere else. The neck of the armor is fastened around his own neck, and his left arm is uncovered revealing a black marking that he and his brother shared since childhood. | ||||||||
PERSONALITY NINDO "War is a necessary evil and the only truth of this world. Peace is a lie we tell ourselves about to blanket our eyes from that sole truth." To someone who doesn't know him very well, Aki might come across as quite gruff and impolite without much reason. But those who know him understand that his cold, unfriendly attitude has been molded by years on the battlefield and the loss of many close to him. While he sticks by his clan out of a sense of duty, and as such fulfills his duties as a Shinobi of the Hidden Leaf, Aki's beliefs regarding war, violence and their importance to the true way of the world heavily conflict with the ideas behind the Shinobi Organizational System and the formation of the Villages. He just doesn't think working together with all these people they've fought for so long makes sense. If there is one thing in the world that Aki hates, it is the Hyuga Clan. Even now, he still doesn't trust them and hesitant to even look in their direction, let alone work alongside them. It might seem unreasonable, but it's not very easy to trust the people who claimed your brother and your right eye in the same day on the battlefield, after years of their clans fighting and hating one another just because the rest of the world thinks it's a good idea. Any chance he gets to avoid working with the Hyuga, he will take. The Senju and the other clans are bad, but his hatred for them hasn't had as much reason to fester and grow, so he can at least tolerate most of them. The only thing Aki has any kind of softness for at all anymore are the children of the Uchiha Clan. The young and impressionable Genin and Academy Students are not only too naive to understand the horrors of war, but he can teach them both his skills and his ideals. He understands that converting all the Uchiha youth to his ideals of war and hatred might end badly for him, but changing at least one or two wouldn't hurt, and would mean that the next generation has at least one sane person within it's ranks. | ||||||||
HISTORY Aki was born into an age of war. Raised as a fighter and trained to kill any clan that his clan had deemed an enemy. He was ready for battle by age seven, and during the wars with the many clans he lost many family members and friends, and had already began to grow cold to others at a young age. While the rest of his clan still held some hope that he would at least open up to the older members of his clan, his last will to become close to others was stripped away at the age of nine; during a climactic (at least climactic for him) battle with the terrifyingly skilled members of the dastardly Hyuga Clan. His brother Chiyaki had finally graduated from being a supply runner and had trained enough to be allowed out onto the battlefield. It was his first battle, and so Aki stuck close to him in order to defend him. During the battle, a titan of a Hyuga encountered the two brothers, who swiftly delivered a brutal end to Chiyaki's young life, before attacking Aki specifically. While Aki had more experience than his brother, all that his years on the battlefield could afford him was survival. But he was still left with a scar across the socket of his eye, and the loss of his right eye. He had already awoken his Sharingan, so losing his eye in battle was an enormous deal as he treasured the eyes which he prized for connecting him to his clan. The death of his brother was a traumatic and awful event in the young boy's life, bringing the harsh reality of war to his attention with a cold slap to his pride and a vice grip on his troubled heart. He realized then that this way of war they all lived in had consequences, and that people in this world died sometimes purely for war and no other cause. Young and impressionable, he took this realization and twisted it into a powerful motivator to become a master of the arts of battle in order to succeed in the wars he assumed he would be fighting for his entire life, and into his held belief that war is the only truth of the world. By the time that the Ten Tails had started actively attacking and the fighting between the clans had stopped, Aki had recovered and become accustomed to only possessing his left eye. He was skilled enough that he was an active fighter against the Ten Tails clones and was present at nearly every battle the Uchiha had participated in, regardless of his injuries. During the war against the Ten Tails clones he lost the rest of his close family, and was critically injured leaving a scar across the bridge of his nose in an encounter where he and a young Hyuga child were the only ones left out of the group that had attacked. The Hyuga boy had pushed Aki into the line of fire in order to protect himself, and a powerful slash cut into his face. Using his Great Fireball Technique he took down the Ten Tails clone that injured him, and he held his ground until reinforcements came while the Hyuga boy fled leaving him to fight against the monsters alone like a coward. Aki held the bridge of his nose in pain, he swore to never trust a member of the Hyuga Clan with his life ever again. This event was just another one of many that caused his hatred of the Hyuga Clan to grow deeper and stronger. Shortly after the final decisive battle with the Ten Tails fought by the incredibly powerful Shinobi known as the Gokage (Five Shadows), Aki heard the stories as they passed around quickly. Still recovering from wounds he had sustained in the battles against the clones of the mighty beast; he respected this incredible act of tactical prowess, strength and willpower. Five people alone had won a war that thousands upon thousands could not. While he respected the shadows, he also heard that their were movements in play to keep the clans banded together in the form of Shinobi villages. Aki physically felt distaste in his mouth. He naively thought that after all of the harsh wars against the Ten Tails everything would go back to the natural way; War. When the villages were formed and the Uchiha settled down, against his own feelings Aki begrudgingly became a member of Konohagakure no Sato's Shinobi forces, becoming allies with some of the clans, families and people he had considered lifelong enemies since childhood. At first, Aki had a lot of trouble adjusting to the Shinobi Organizational System. He just didn't like the idea of anyone outside of a Uchiha ordering him around; the Hokage and his Clan Leader were the only two people he really respected enough to listen to without putting up a fight, complaining or hesitating. However, with time he learned that it was much easier to keep his lips tight about how he felt and just get along with the missions. He was classified as a Jounin due to his high-level skill set, and has done several missions already for his village. Not once however has he taken on a mission in which he needs to take orders from or rely on the assistance of the Hyuga. He is slowly and discretely letting the hatred he harbors grow. Sometimes he gets terrible, violent ideas that he knows would most likely get him killed, but he still has plans. However, he knows that he is not ready to act on his hatred just yet. | ||||||||
SPECIALIZATIONS: KEKKEI GENKAI | SHARINGAN (Eye of Insight): SKILL RANK: C SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: While Aki only has his left eye still in his possession, he has had an awoken Sharingan since he was young, gained on the battlefield during a large battle that claimed the life of his brother, Chiyaki. Since acquiring access to the powerful eyes unique to his clan, he has gained a degree of skill and practice with them, evolving them from One Tomoe to a Two Tomoe eye. Due to his advanced level of experience with wielding the Sharingan, Aki can keep it active for prolonged periods of time with ease, though he chooses not to usually. He can track the movements of fighters and has a level of predictive capabilities, though they are not on the same extraordinary level as those of Issho Uchiha. He can mimic any B Rank Jutsu or lower, so long as he has the prerequisites for the technique. KEKKEI GENKAI | SHARINGAN (Eye of Hypnotism): SKILL RANK: B SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Aki has a level of skill with his Sharingan in regards to the 'Eye of Hypnotism' branch of abilities that rivals both Issho Uchiha and Nikano Uchiha. This means that his Genjutsu prowess with the Sharingan is top tier. Even low-level or weak genjutsu can be experienced as though they were seamlessly real when cast off of Aki's Sharingan. His illusory powers are regarded as some of the best, and he is considered to be one of the strongest users of the Sharingan's Genjutsu skills in the entire Uchiha Clan. He can cast most genjutsu he knows off of the Sharingan and can even reflect people's Genjutsu back at them, inflicting mental pain as a result. NINJUTSU: SKILL RANK: B SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: One of Aki's most honed proficiencies, his skill in the art of Ninjutsu is outstanding. He is capable of performing powerful or complicated jutsu and has three elements under his belt, with an incredible degree of ability with Katon (Fire Release). He has spent years both on the battlefield and in the books studying and practicing Ninjutsu, honing and mastering his skills to become an experienced Shinobi. He has an understanding of Ninjutsu that rivals that of communication, able to weave a Jutsu to the same degree that he can weave a sentence. TAIJUTSU: SKILL RANK: C SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: While more skilled than the average shinobi, and far exceeding the abilities of a Genin, Aki is quite average with Taijutsu when you compare it to his more potent areas of expertise like Genjutsu and Ninjutsu. His Taijutsu skills however are built to compliment his absurd levels of speed and dexterity, meaning that even against a more skilled Taijutsu user he can adapt to try and use his speed and coordination to gain some leverage and even perhaps the upper hand. BUKIJUTSU: SKILL RANK: D SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Aki is capable of utilizing a variety of standard Shinobi weapons in successful combat applications. He can throw Shuriken and Kunai accurately and can kill or brutally wound up close with bladed weapons. However, his skill with these weapons is very average for a Shinobi, the only area he exceeds is the same as with his Taijutsu; Speed and Dexterity. He can use his inhuman levels of speed and his crazy levels of dexterous ability in order to surprise more skilled opponents, and move faster than their skill can help them. GENJUTSU: SKILL RANK: B SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Aki is somewhat of a Genjutsu genius. Even before he had his Sharingan awakened, he had an acute understanding of Genjutsu's inner workings and practices. He has just about as much experience with Genjutsu as he does with being alive; able to learn, utilize and even create Genjutsu far easier than most Shinobi can. In addition, his Sharingan has conferred unto him astounding enhancements to his Genjutsu abilities, and utilizing the powerful eyes of the Uchiha Aki commands a degree of skill with them rivaling both the Nidaime Hokage and the head of the Uchiha Clan. FUUINJUSTU: SKILL RANK: E SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Aki's Fuuinjutsu is his weakest skill. He only knows the most basic Fuuinjutsu for sealing items into scrolls, and even then that took him a lot longer to master than it would for most other shinobi. In comparison to the rest of his skill set, his Fuuinjutsu looks similarly to a dulled wooden blade sitting amongst a rack of razor sharp steel blades. | ||||||||

He is much faster than most Jōnin, moving at speeds that make him appear as a blur to most. His speed is incredible, bordering on beyond the limits of what a Jōnin should be capable of. If a Jōnin Taijutsu specialist ran at full speed Aki could catch up to them and keep neck and neck with them without utilizing Chakra Boost or a Speed Enhancement Jutsu. He is nowhere near the fastest Shinobi in the world, but he is definitely able to declare that he is one of the fastest Shinobi in Konohagakure, and is so fast that at top speed he requires his Sharingan to be active in order to see where he's going. Super Enhanced Reflexes Aki's reflexes have developed in order to match his extreme speed and the rate at which he is able to see utilizing his Sharingan. Without his Sharingan active he is still capable of reacting to incoming projectiles to the point that he is capable of grabbing Kunai or Shuriken out of the air, and can dodge and even catch projectiles while he himself is in mid-air. He is also capable of manipulating his body through and around more complex, difficult to dodge attacks, and can weave his way around sudden obstructions and individuals that pop-up in the field at a moments notice. Incredible Dexterity Out of all of the Uchiha, Aki is by far one of the most, if not the most dexterous of the bunch. He is capable of performing tasks, catching, throwing, anything with his hands with far greater skill and ease than any other Jōnin. He can perform delicate procedures utilizing wires with incredible precision, and can accurately swing blades and kunai despite his skill with throwing skills in Bukijutsu being slightly less than on par with most Jōnin. His ability to perform hand seals excels to a profound degree for someone of his level, capable of rivalling Shinobi on the level of the Kage with the speed at which he can form hand seals. In short, he's really really good with his hands. Enhanced Chakra Control Aki has been trained extensively in the art of conserving and manipulating chakra in order to produce large and elaborate attacks as well as small, intricate techniques. He is capable of producing attacks that would normally cost a very large amount of chakra for much, much less than normal, but cutting of the excess and molding it precisely to fit the needs of the jutsu. Feeling of Darkness Aki possesses a very unique feeling to his chakra, capable of influencing those around him using the feeling of his chakra alone. Stemming from his deeply rooted hatred and sinister intentions towards the Hyuga and his grief and pain at the loss of his brother, Aki is capable of inducing a state of being on those around him in which they can almost feel his pain, hatred and intent radiating off of him. This can be very intimidating and can be used as a fear tactic, and can be directly aimed at an opponent through his Iatsu Sharingan [Coercion Sharingan] technique, enhancing the effects of the already nightmarish Genjutsu. While keeping himself composed however, none but the most potent sensor shinobi would not be able to feel these strong emotions in his chakra. | ||||||||
