NAME: Chidori [One Thousand Birds] RANK: A TECH TYPE: Personal | Ninjutsu ELEMENT: 雷遁 | Raiton [Lightning Release] CHAKRA USAGE: high DESCRIPTION: A technique made when Nikano seeked to test the limits of how clearly his Sharingan could see. The user first gathers lightning to their hand; the high concentration of electricity produces a sound reminiscent of many birds chirping, hence the name. Once the chakra is gathered, users charge at their target and thrust the Chidori into them, piercing them, causing fatal damage. Despite the sound it makes, the rapid speed at which it's used makes it useful for assassinations. The speed at which the Chidori is performed, despite being one of its greatest assets, also represents one of its biggest drawbacks: users move at their target so fast that its causes a tunnel vision-like effect for them. Because they charge in a straight line it is easy for opponents to attack them, and because of the tunnel vision it is difficult for the user to see these attacks, much less react to them. For this reason, most ninja cannot use the Chidori safely. If the user has a Sharingan, however, these drawbacks are overcome: the Sharingan's heightened visual perception prevents the tunnel vision from occurring and its predictive capabilities make it easy for the user to avoid counterattacks. The last effects of Chidori is that it can be applied to any weapon. NAME: Chidori Nagashi [1000 Birds Stream] RANK: A TECH TYPE: Personal | Ninjutsu ELEMENT: 雷遁 | Raiton [Lightning Release] CHAKRA USAGE: Medium or high DESCRIPTION: One must first know Chidori. Then the user must learn to gather Chidori in their body. They may stop it here for a medium amount of chakra but it causes slight damage to the user, though seems to nullify effects placed on the person's body, such as bugs, or screwing up of the user's nerves. The higher costing version is much more useful though. By releasing the Chidori in every direction, an electrical discharge flows from the user's body allowing him/her to affect multiple enemies. When using this attack on a great number of enemies at once, it can effectively double as an instant defense. The body of the enemies of the user touched by the Chidori will mistake the lightning element of the technique as "electrical signals from the nerves", making its muscles contract, causing large amounts of pain. This causes the body to involuntarily go stiff, while at the same time receive damage. This attack can also be channeled through the ground to increase the range of the attack, though it requires hand to ground contact. It may also be channeled through a weapon. When used fully through one's body the maximum five meters. When channeled through the ground, its range is 20 meters. NAME: Chidori Senbon [1000 Birds Senbon] RANK: A TECH TYPE: Personal | Ninjutsu ELEMENT: 雷遁 | Raiton [Lightning Release] CHAKRA USAGE: Medium or high DESCRIPTION: This is one of many variations of the Chidori that uses shape transformation. In comparison to the standard Chidori, it further specializes in speed and over all damage rather than power in one hit. First, manifesting the Chidori, the use tuns the Chidori into many small senbon needles, which are held to the skin by static which are aimed at the target/targets and fired off at hem. By increasing the amount of chakra used, the number of senbon also increases proportionally. The Chidori Senbon also stay for four more posts after its used, potentially pinning the enemy if they are small enough. NAME: Chidori Kosen [1000 Birds Beam] RANK: A TECH TYPE: Personal | Ninjutsu ELEMENT: 雷遁 | Raiton [Lightning Release] CHAKRA USAGE: Medium or high DESCRIPTION: This is one of many variations of the Chidori that uses shape transformation. It is the fastest of all the Chidori variants. It turns into a beam, and works as a long tube of energy, with a maximum range of twenty meters. It hits the opponent and sends electrical waves through their whole body. The body tenses, receives several second degree burns, and sends the user back a few feet. By increasing the amount of chakra used, it may be increased to thirty meters, as well causes an explosion of lightning, creating third degree burns and peeling off alot of skin. NAME: Raikiri [Lightning Blade] RANK: A TECH TYPE: Personal | Ninjutsu ELEMENT: 雷遁 | Raiton [Lightning Release] CHAKRA USAGE: High DESCRIPTION: The Lightning Cutter is an enhanced and concentrated form of the Chidori with the same effects and drawbacks. While the differences are few and the effects are almost the same, there are a few differences. First of all, the jutsu is stronger. One can cut a bolt of lightning with it, and move fast enough to cut it of course. It can go toe to toe with legendary weapons, and can counter most lightning jutsu. It can also be put in weapons. Even being put in just a kunai, the kunai would be capable of piercing through multiple large rocks with ease, without any loss of momentum or change in trajectory. NAME: Raiden [Lightning Transmission] RANK: A TECH TYPE: Personal | Ninjutsu ELEMENT: 雷遁 | Raiton [Lightning Release] CHAKRA USAGE: High DESCRIPTION: Using the aid of a clone, or another person who knows Raikiri, the users each perform the Lightning Blade technique on opposite hands. Connecting their techniques together, they form a chain of lightning between themselves that is able to slice through objects such as tailed beast's chakra arms with great ease, or if the chakra is focused correctly, wrap around and electrocute enemies. |
