NAME: Nuibari WEAPON TYPE: Choto RANK: A APPEARANCE: The blade itself assumes the form of a narrow "longsword" that greatly resembles a large needle, with a long length of thin wire-mirroring thread, tied through the eye located at the base of its hilt. The sword itself is made out of very durable carbon steel. This makes it both extremely light and immensely durable. The carbon steel itself is not chakra conductive and while this does not mean one cannot flow their chakra through it, it does mean that doing so is harder than it would be if the steel was chakra conductive. The blade and the hilt both have a skinny needle like design and with a quick glance one might not be able to tell them apart, however upon close inspection on could easily see the hilt of the blade. However unlike most blades the Nuibari has no Tsuba or hand guard and this is for ease of passing through matter as a hand guard would only get in the way of that. ABILITIES: The Penetrator The first and main ability of the Nuibari is that it is said to be able to pierce all. demonstrated through its ability to effortlessly penetrate multiple targets in a single thrust A capable user can even throw the sword with the intent of piercing a line of multiple targets, before catching the needle at the other side and repeating the process at different angles. The Nuibari is said to be able to penetrate all but the toughest of defenses easily penetrating any defense A rank or lower. Chakra Reactive Wire The second ability of this sword is that once it pierces a target it is said to have the ability to stitch them up. What this means is The wire on the Nuibari is not just for show; while it is akin to normal ninja wire the wire itself is chakra reactive. When chakra is flowed through the wire two things happen: firstly the wire because almost unbreakable, becoming as durable as an A rank defensive structure. Secondly the wire becomes completely controllable through chakra flow alone even without the user touching the blade (so long as the chakra has already been flowed through the blade). This makes it much easier to use the Nuibari as a sewing needle to stitch whatever it pierces. Limitless Wire The thing that makes the Nuibari so legendary is its first two abilities to pierce all and stitch them up however the sword itself would be haphazard without the third ability which seldom is spoken of but may be the most important one. Nuibari no matter how much it is used never runs out of wire. The user can use as much as they wish and even cut some off and leave it behind for traps or to string a target up but so long as they have chakra to feed into the blade it will always produce more wire to be used for the sword. This is very useful as the sword is a sum of both its abilities and if it were to lose the either ability its effectiveness would plummet. NAME: Kubikiribocho WEAPON TYPE: Danto RANK: A APPEARANCE: The Kubikiribōchō is a massive broadsword shaped like a giant butcher knife, earning it the title of "seversword" The blade itself has two cut outs, a circle close to the top and a semi-circular one nearer to the handle, aptly fitting the sword's purpose of decapitation. The latter notch allows a strap to be wrapped around the weapon, making it easier for the user to carry. Its extremely long handle is also detachable to further aid transportation and then reattached when required for combat. For those first learning to wield the blade they would find the weight of it problematic as it is much heavier than it looks which is saying something for such a large sword. Though after much training and use master wielders of the sword would be able to swing the sword around as if it weighed nothing. ABILITIES: Immense Durability Without even getting into the ability that made it such a legendary sword Kubikiribocho is an incredibly durable sword able to withstand pretty much anything. This sword has A rank defenses and no elemental weaknesses to name. Kubikiribocho can be used just as effectively as a shield as well as a sword able to withstand an intense beating before giving in and finally breaking. Strength Due to its size sharpness and weight Kubikiribocho has come across very few things that it could not cut. Not needing very much technique as its weight coupled with its sharp edge and gravity does pretty much all the work Kubikiribocho's cutting ability is a step above the rest being able to chop up all but the toughest defenses (Can damage A rank and cut through B rank). Near Indestructible Like the other weapons employed by the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, the sword possesses a unique power, this being its ability to reform itself using the iron harvested from the blood of its victims. This regenerative process takes place almost instantaneously and is capable of bringing the weapon back to its original condition no matter how severe the damage is, from a simple chip or nick to a complete separation of over half the blade. NAME: Kiba WEAPON TYPE: Raito RANK: A APPEARANCE: It is a pair of swords, each with slim and straight double-edged blades. Both blades also have an upward-curved bladed prong near the tip of one side of the blade and another one near the base of the blade's other side. They are made out of a unique material that converts all chakra the user put into it to Raiton chakra the material itself is not widely known and is considered to be lost to man. The swords look like fangs which is how they got their name and is said to be the fangs of of a beast that was made of pure lighting though this is probably just a myth. The swords can also be connected at the hilt to for one double bladed sword. ABILITIES: Cutting Ability They each have been imbued with lightning, displaying enhanced cutting power in a manner similar to the high-frequency vibrations of lightning-based chakra flow. It is this capability that has resulted in these "thunderswords" being claimed as the sharpest swords in existence. This ability is inherent within the sword and when combined with actual chakra the cutting ability of the sword will double as the Raiton chakra will increase the high frequency vibrations allowing for even easier cutting. That being said even without feeding chakra to the swords their cutting ability is that of an A ranked weapon that is being used with Raiton chakra flow. Nature Transformation Kiba turns all chakra that is given to the blade to Raiton which would allow those using the sword to access the ability to double its cutting power by adding Raiton chakra flow to the blade even if they themselves do not have Raiton chakra. This ability also allows the user of the blade to access Raiton jutsu even when they do not themselves have the ability. However when holding the swords one would have to seal the swords away (their sheathe acts as a seal) before being able to use any other element. It also gives a rudimentary defense against Raiton jutsu though anything over C rank will have a blast back to the user as the sword takes on too much Raiton chakra, the blast back is residual from the jutsu and will act as a lessened version of the jutsu imitating the jutsu's effect. Natural Lighting This sword also has the ability to transform and manipulate natural lightning as a conductor the swords are able to channel natural lighting to be used for Raiton techniques so long as their is natural lightning around. When using natural lightning all Raiton jutsu chakra cost gets lowered by one. For example using a jutsu that is using Medium in cost with natural lightning through the swords would now only require a low amount of chakra. This is a very useful ability as it saves chakra while also maximizing destructive ability. Once used the natural lightning dissipates, however if conditions are met to cause more natural lightning the volatile nature of Lightning causes the jutsu to become less stable making it reckless to use the ability to channel natural lightning more than once in a thread (though possible there is a good chance that the user will be hit with as much force as the target). NAME: Hiramekarei WEAPON TYPE: Soto RANK: A APPEARANCE: Hiramekarei features a wide, flat blade with two curved indentations near its base, creating a sort of cross-guard. Two handles are connected to one another by a short length of cord, earning it the title of "twinsword". The overall sword looks like a flounder fish in shape. With its bandages wrapped around Hiramekarei, it looks similar to Samehada. Hiramekarei is apparently very heavy, much like Kubikiribocho those not used to using the blade would tire from using it quite easily even if extremely strong. Though once used to the blade the user would be able to wield it as if it weighed nothing at all. The sword is also able to split in two each with its own hilt. ABILITIES: Chakra Storing This sword is able to store its users chakra (only chakra stored during that thread will count as saving chakra from one thread to another is not allowed) in order to store chakra into the blade the one wishing to store their chakra would need to be touching the handle of the blade and actively flowing their chakra into it. This normally does not allow Hiramekarei to be used as a chakra battery as chakra cannot be reabsorbed through the blade using its own abilities and it cannot be used to defend against chakra based attacks as the only way it absorbs chakra is through chakra flow through the hilts. The amount of chakra that can be stored inside Hiramekarei is infinite and it never fully empties (having about as much chakra as a very high chakra cost at all times as a base that never depletes). Weapon Modification Upon saying "Hiramekarei Unleashing" (for those still new to using the blade) or by simple chakra flow (for those more adept with using the blade) the stored chakra is emitted from the holes at the tip of the blade. The chakra rapidly coats the sword and can be shaped into various weapons, such as a hammer or a long-sword. The more chakra that is stored in Hiramekarei, the larger the size of the manifested weapon. This discharge of chakra causes the bandages it is typically wrapped with to unravel. More advanced users can even store elemental chakra in order to get added effects to their weaponry though only one element can be stored at a time and no advanced elements can be stored. The weapons can become as big as the chakra stored within in with the largest being around 8ft. Fish Bone Projectiles It can also create a large amount of light blue, fish bone-like crystals that can inflict great damage the base ability does not require a jutsu to use but is the equivalent to a c rank projectile like senbon and won't do any real damage normally. However there are several jutsu that can be used that allow for their damage to be increased as well as for them to gain other properties. Without a jutsu anywhere between 1 and 5 fish bone crystals can be generated with five needing a Low amount of chakra usage and can travel at most 20m without the use of a jutsu. The chakra from this ability can either be taken from the sword or the user (must be noted in the thread). NAME: Shibuki WEAPON TYPE: Bakuto RANK: A APPEARANCE: The sword itself features two distinct sides, with a narrow cutting edge located down the entirety of one length and a wide platform section on the other. The aforementioned scroll unrolls along this latter side, sliding downwards and resting atop its surface to form an individual segment comprised from numerous explosive tags, which separates from the remainder upon detonation. This sword like the other larger swords is extremely heavy and takes some getting used to before it can be swung around with little to no effort. ABILITIES: Explosions The blade utilizes various explosive tags, contained within a substantial scroll, in order to incorporate explosions into the user's own swordsmanship, earning it the title of "blastsword". Only once the desired opponent comes into contact with the platform, do the explosive tags finally ignite and then detach, providing a small opportunity for the user to escape the devastating blast radius, while simultaneously compensating for any resultant recoil. The sword is seemingly able to reload another segment of tags onto the platform, automatically after each strike. The blasts power is directly tied to how many explosive tags are used during the explosion with the explosive tags being of the same power as regular shinobi explosive tags. Infinite Tags Like Nuibari and its wire Shibuki never runs out of explosive tags. This is extremely useful as without them Shibuki is simply a rather large ordinary sword that is heavier than its size would hint at. While the sword is capable of acting like a normal great sword and is as sharp as any other sword of its rank its true effectiveness and the reason behind its legendary nature is the blast that it creates. Although technically infinite like the Nuibari if the user runs out of chakra to flow into the weapon then they can no longer create new tags. Explosive Immunity Because of the nature of the sword it was made to be able to withstand even the most fierce explosions. Because of this it is all but impossible to destroy this sword via an explosion. This also makes it a good defense against itself in case the user finds that they for some reason cannot get out of the blast radius in time holding the sword up against the blast will protect the user from everything except the recoil damage which depending on the size of the blast could be anything from a small bit of pressure to enough to send the user flying backward with broken arms. NAME: Kabutowari WEAPON TYPE: Donto RANK: A APPEARANCE: The sword itself consists of a giant ax and hammer, linked end-to-end by a flat thin leather-like rope, which together are referred to as a "bluntsword" that is said to be able to break through any defense. Although the length of cord means each weapon can be utilized individually, to cut and crush obstructions respectively, their true strength lies in their capability to be employed in conjunction with one another. ABILITIES: Defense Stopper When facing a particularly difficult or seemingly impenetrable defence; the wielder can first attack by striking with the axe, before slamming the hammer downwards onto its blunt backside, thus using the blade like a wedge to drive straight through the offending obstacle and into the desired target located behind. This increases its defense breaking capabilities so that it could even shatter A rank defenses and after enough hits could even stop an S rank defense. Shockwaves The second part of its abilities is the ability to run chakra through the point of impact to create vibrations through whatever it is touching sending shockwaves through whatever it is as a destructive medium. Though the shockwaves can only be sent through solid material they increase the destructive potential of the "sword by double". Super Leather The leather strap connecting the two weapons is extremely durable and while it can be broken it requires a truly intense blow to do so. However if chakra is run through the strap it becomes pretty much unbreakable and can even be used as a defense of some kind or another weapon itself. The use of the strap can be about the same as the chain of a Kusarigama. NAME: Samehada WEAPON TYPE: Daito RANK: A APPEARANCE: Though mostly wrapped in bandages, Samehada's construction is atypical in that its actual blade is comprised from a series of downward-facing scales running along the entirety of its length until its hilt, at the base of which is a small skull. Samehada grows larger in proportion to the amount of chakra it absorbs, causing its scales to become so long that they ultimately resemble shark fins and its mouth, located at the tip of the blade, to become even more pronounced. Keeping Samehada wrapped in bandages apparently helps to inhibit this growth to a certain extent. ABILITIES: Sentience Samehada is unique for being a sentient weapon that gains nourishment from the chakra of others and as such, the blade is at its happiest when engorged with chakra that possesses both a distinctive and pleasant flavor. Although any chakra will do it prefers certain chakra to others. It has shown displeasure towards Katon chakra, stating that it's far too hot. Being capable of conscious thought, Samehada chooses its own user, an exclusive process that has often resulted in it being thought of as notoriously picky. If someone it disapproves of attempts to wield it, spikes protrude from the handle in order to force them to release their grasp, at which point Samehada will make efforts to return to its chosen owner. Though a strong enough user can force it to bend to their will. It has enough sentience to even mourn the passing of its previous owner. Samehada shares a symbiotic relationship with its wielder, similar to that of the kikaichū. Although it continually consumes the chakra of its owner, its largest meals come from fights, wherein it absorbs the chakra of the opposition instead. Such an ability allows Samehada to literally slice through an opponent's techniques, in spite of whether the chakra has been transformed or not, and even prevent them from being performed by absorbing all of the necessary chakra, before preparations can be completed. However, it seems to be unable to automatically absorb ambient chakra, as in all instances where it has absorbed chakra are when either the opponent had a visible aura around them or when direct physical contact had already been established. The more chakra it absorbs, the larger it can become. Due to its voracious appetite, Samehada is drawn to those with large chakra supplies, allowing it to be used as a quasi-sensor. Chakra Absorption While the ability to absorb chakra is useful in defeating opponents, it is also beneficial to the user as well. Samehada has the ability to transfer the chakra it has absorbed to the wielder by partially fusing with them, so it can be used to either revitalize the wielders chakra and stamina or instantly heal even fatal injuries. This makes the user of this sword extremely difficult to defeat conventionally. A wielder who has mastered the use of Samehada and gained its trust can take this fusion one step further, by completely merging with Samehada. Doing so causes the user to become much more shark-like in appearance, growing fins and webbed hands that allow him to move through water with considerable ease. The user also receives some of Samehada's abilities while in this form, such as being able to extend spikes from his body for offence, and absorbing chakra when others come into direct contact with him, as well as the ability to track chakra and avoid sensors. Shredding As the blade is made up of scales, it inflicts injuries through shredding or shaving what it comes into contact with, rather than just cutting the object in question. This flaying effect is similar to a shark's skin, hence the sword's name. While it ordinarily remains rigid, Samehada's hilt is able to stretch and bend to great extent, allowing the weapon to be used like a flail. To supplement the blade's offensive capabilities, it is able to extend its scales to spikes; both the spikes and the hilt can be stretched a maximum of 5m however anything over 3m makes the blade harder to use and more whiplike. |
