Oblivion & Oathkeeper |
NAME: Oblivion and Oathkeeper WEAPON TYPE: Swords RANK: A APPEARANCE: Oblivion is similar in shape to an old fashioned key, though is such a dark purple it looks black and has a longer reach then most swords being about three inches longer than a normal blade. The hilt guard is comprised of two bat-like wings extending downward. The teeth are in the shape of the Kanji for "darkness". A chain-like design runs up the length of the blade and it has a diamond looking pattern in its hilt. The Oathkeeper's shaft displays two hearts, and its handle bears two angel wings, contrasting the bat wings that comprise Oblivion's handle. The teeth are fashioned in the shape of the Kanji for "light", corresponding to the Oblivion's kanji for "darkness". Oathkeeper is such a light purple that it looks white. ABILITIES: The first ability of the swords are linked directly to the substance it is made from which is Honey this makes the swords highly poisonous, this poison although it spreads very easily where one could get poisoned from even the briefest contact on the skin the poison's affect is not intense until a lot of the poison is within the targets system. The poison itself alters the way that those who are affected by it perceive time. What this means is that it takes them longer to process information which will not only make the person affected slower but it would also make it seem as if everything is moving much faster. However because the poison takes large amounts before one could even notice the difference it makes in their targets speed it would take around 15 slashes from these blades before any difference is seen. However because the swords are made from the gel itself which is highly concentrated anyone touching them who is not immune to its effects (which is only possible through either getting a sample of it or training at Ryuchi Cave) will be overcome with the effect to the greatest extent almost at once. This means that the target will process information so slow an elderly gait will look like enhanced speed. The poison itself last for as long as it is in the system and if the target allows it to run its course without getting anymore poison in their body then after 10 post their information processing will turn back to normal at once. However one could drain the poison from their body by losing blood though after 15 strikes the amount of blood they would need to lose would make them woozy while the amount of blood they would need to lose after touching the swords (or 60 slashes) could be potentially fatal. The second ability is made possible because the swords a in a gel form until they have chakra run through them. The second ability of these swords is that they are housed within Orochikami's body in their gel form. Because Orochikami is immune to the Honey poison he receives no ill effects from having it implanted within his body. Also because it is a gel based substance he can ooze the gel from his pores to summon the blades giving them shape as they leave his body, which makes it seem as if he is pulling swords from his body which is a creepy effect which has been known to dishearten and cause unease. Also he can coat his skin in the poison gel which causes anyone who touches him to be affected by the poison with brief contact from something like a punch counting as a slash (which would mean after 20 punches the poison starts making visible affects to the targets information processing) while grabbing him would be the same as grabbing the sword (which would blast the target with the worst case right away). Lastly and this ability came from a bit of ingenuity from Oro himself the swords themselves can be controlled and moved just by manipulating the chakra within them which means that he could control the blades without ever having to move or even touch them. However if he is being pressed by multiple targets or one particularly strong target using the swords this way would not be a good idea as he could lose control of them and they will begin to either falter or fall flat completely. His control of the swords when fighting average opponents is so intricate that most cannot tell the difference between when he is holding the swords and when he is controlling them from afar. |
