CLAN TYPE: Hiden VILLAGE: Kiri ORIGIN: Mizu no Kuni CLAN HISTORY: -- The Hozuki were always considered to be an elite clan within Mizu no Kuni their Hiden seemed more like a Kekkei Genkai and they continue to put up this front as it helps protect their secret. Because of this Hozuki clan members when talking about their jutsu will refer to it as if it is a Kekkei Genkai. Throughout the history of Mizu no Kuni the Hozuki have been on the front lines of every battle showing off their skills as elite shinobi. The last clan leader to appear before the Mist Village appeared was Mangetsu Hozuki who was thought to be the epitome of what the Hozuki should be. He lead the Hozuki clan during the ten tails war and did so in a spectacular fashion. After the war with the ten tails Mangetsu decided it would be best for someone to fill the void that the death of Genryuusai would create. He figured the best way to do this would be to gather the other clans as well as collect the seven deadly swords of Mizu no Kuni. To this end he would search for the San clan and their sword Kabutowari. The san clan did not go quietly and the leader of the clan who also happened to be the one that wielded Kabutowari challenged Mangetsu to a fight one that he eventually lost which lost him his sword. Recognizing Mangetsu's strength the leader of the San clan promised to support Mangetsu in his effort to unite the clans. He also told him about one who was also attempting to do what Mangetsu was doing and who had collected the other five swords already. When he asked what the person's name was Mangetsu already new but just wanted confirmation. Squishy his old rival he should have known the man would try to fill the role his father once held. The two met in battle as they have done countless times with the battle heating up until finally Squishy's speed overcame him and he was able to strike a fatal blow. Knowing that he would die a noble and worthy death Mangetsu instructed his clan to follow Squishy which meant that the man would also get control of the San clan as well. This is the history of the Hozuki clan and how they became to be one of the founding clans of Kirigakure and how their clan sword Hiramekarei became known as one of the Seven Legendary Swords of the Mist CLAN IDEOLOGY: -- The clan is one of individuals though the only thing that can be counted as an ideology for them would be their saying of "as adaptable as water" which basically means that a Hozuki would adapt themselves to fit any role to the best of their abilities. While this saying is as adaptable as it is telling those of the clan to be. Some have thought it to mean that they should study all things equally so that they could do whatever is required of them, others believe it to mean that they should specialize in something to fill a specific role the clan or village may need. Hozuki are incredibly gifted at adapting to situations that arise and as such make some pretty good politicians assassins and warriors alike. CLAN ABILITIES: -- Suika no Jutsu although it is technically a jutsu it manifest itself in the form of a special ability, as such when a clan member is making their app this jutsu will be placed under the Hiden/Hijutsu section and given its own grade with how well the user can use it. This is subject to change depending on what the staff feels is a good grasp for the given rank of course (meaning that the staff can ask you to change the level of control you have of the jutsu if they feel it is too much or too little for the rank you have with the Hiden). What the Suika no Jutsu actually does is simple yet extremely useful for tactile situations. This technique makes it impossible to receive damage from physical attacks. From a single hair, to the skin and muscles, everything can be liquefied and solidified at will. Be it to evade an enemy's attack during a short range battle, to infiltrate a structure, or to launch a surprise attack in a liquefied state, this technique boasts a high strategic value. Applying this technique, the user can also modify their body parts for suitable situations or even use the liquid as projectiles. though this does not mean that they can do all these things passively each requires their own jutsu. The only passive ability would be the ability to shift from solid to liquid form and back again (though doing so does require a low amount of chakra). However the technique is not without its drawbacks as locking them up in an airtight container so they cannot move about would effectively stop them. Also when passed out they turn into a jelly like state. Since this technique turns the body into water, the Hōzuki are extremely vulnerable to Lightning Release techniques. Also the technique is harder to use without enough surrounding moisture though it can still be used by someone of great skill without a problem. Lastly if rushed the user would not be able to turn themselves back into their solid state which effectively immobilizes them. CLAN HIERARCHY: -- The clan Hierarchy is simple. Their is a leader and they choose a heir whenever they feel like choosing one and when they die their heir takes over. There are no rules for picking an Heir besides the heir must have been born into the clan and have access to the Hiden.
