NAME: Death's Breathe WEAPON TYPE: Bow RANK: A APPEARANCE: Powerful modern bow with a custom Nebium patterning. The bow is not made from wood but does have wooden parts in several places. The Nebium of the bow makes it more resistant to fire damage and makes it more durable than its wooden counterparts. It also gives it a more sophisticated and sleek look. The bow is black with a red dragon motif across it with the strings being made of ninja wire. It has two pulleys on either end that speed up draw speed but also lowers steadying length as the bow will began to quake as the pulleys are held taut for too long. Overall it looks like a simple bow and the real magic is how it is outfitted. ABILITIES: Having been made of Nebium the bow has several unique properties because of this. The first is the fact that it is extremely chakra conductive, what this means is that it absorbs and incorporates whatever it comes into contact with, as long as it's either liquid or chakra-derived. When Kaname forged the bow he placed copious amounts of his own chakra into the rare ore. Because of the the metal will not bend for anyone besides himself making the bow useless to others. This also allows Kaname to change the shape of the bow at will (used mainly to cover his right arm when not using the bow as well as for added defense and attack). Also when he forged the weapon he used the ability to change the shape to hollow out a part the hollowed out part holds within it the Nisshoku. This allows Kaname to use the poison by reshaping the hollow and expelling it as well as having it set up where it begins leaking the poison from the bow if anyone else were to run their chakra through it. The second ability granted to the bow by its makeup of Nebium is its increased durability. This durability makes it resistant to basic elemental chakra nature [a-rank and below] and advanced chakra nature damage [b-rank and below]; resistant to devastating physical attacks [a-rank and below taijutsu/bukijutsu]. Its finally ability does not come from what it is made out of but more so the years of experience of its maker. To this end Kaname has outfitted the bow with several upgrades to make sure he gets maximum output from the bow. Things making the arrow rest drops away on release allowing arrows to fly faster and inflict more damage, as well as lubricating the cams (pulleys) for smoother operation which makes firing smoother and faster, as well as refining the cams to increase draw tension fall off, making for increased hold time at full draw. He also added a stabilizer to equalize bow weight balance and drift after firing, allowing for faster redraw and firing. Kaname unlike most refines his limbs as a refined set of limbs allows for more draw tension for increased damage with each shot, even though it does lower the amount of time the cams can hold steady even after refining and lubricating them. He also added a custom trigger release; A custom release makes holding a fully drawn string much easier, increasing hold time which compensates for the refined limbs cutting down on hold time. He also coats his ninja wire in wax which creates a more flexible string which makes drawing smoother and faster.The addition of arrow nocks on the bowstring allow for quicker loading of arrows and faster fire rate. Wanting to get the maximum output for his bow he also added a hide wrapped string around the nocks to decrease finger tension for additional hold time.He also wrapped the grips for better handling of the bow and faster draw speed. Lastly he reinforced the limbs allowing for increased string tension and faster arrow speeds for more damage. |
