CLAN TYPE:-- Hiden VILLAGE:-- Sunagakure no Sato / Scattered ORIGIN: -- Kaze no Kuni CLAN HISTORY: -- Much of the history of the Enoki Clan lies somewhere between the vague territories of seclusion and mystery. Before the end of the Formation Wars there was minimal interaction between the Enoki and the outside world; descended from a family whom had lived in a small settlement in the desert above a deep underground lake, they lived in harmony with the Mushroom Crabs (Take no Kani | 茸の蟹), intelligent creatures who lived within the underground lake and it's connecting cave networks. Learning from them, they developed the Mushroom Spore Technique (Takehoushi no Jutsu | 茸胞子の術) and used it to hunt and defend themselves from the outside world, as well as grow an oasis of fungi in the secluded desert. However, as the Formation Wars neared their conclusion and the rumors of the Juubi began to spread further and further, the Enoki Clan realized that there was a lot of the world to be seen, and in a world as troubled and needing of any who had talents in ninjutsu, they could be sure to spread far and wide and make a name for themselves. When the Five Shadows waged their war against the Juubi, the Enoki Clan were there fighting alongside Shinobi across all the nations, not rallying themselves to any one nation but still there, fighting for the sake of the ninja world alongside other shinobi. Since the formation of the Hidden Villages the Enoki Clan have settled down in Sunagakure, joining the Hidden Village founded in their homeland, with small sects of extended family dotted throughout the world, some in Hidden Villages, some in small towns, some wandering together, and some alone. Most however live Enoki Compound in Sunagakure, where the Clan Leader and his Heir reside. CLAN IDEOLOGY: -- "To spread and grow, and to weave paths that connect one another. That is our way." Adopting an ideology similar to that of the mindless mushroom spore itself, the Enoki Clan wishes to spread far and wide, having members, influence and a network extending into the villages, while still allowing individuality among its members. Members of the Enoki Clan believe that they are free to place their allegiance anywhere they please; so long as they don't forget where they came from, and spread the word of their family. The primary family holds it's roots in Kaze no Kuni, but the network of family spreading out from there are considered an independent extension of the family. CLAN ABILITIES: -- Takehoushi no Jutsu | 茸胞子の術 : The Mushroom Spore Technique is the Hiden ability of the Enoki Clan, taught to them by the Mushroom Crabs generations ago. This technique allows them to expend chakra in order to produce Mushroom Spores from the pores in their body, or from their mouth. These Mushroom Spores can possess a variety of different qualities due to them being chakra-reactive; qualities such as flammability, noxiousness/toxicity, hardness/solidity, and other effects. Jutsu using this have a the shortened prefix of 'Takehoushi'. Take no Kani | 茸の蟹 : While not exactly a clan ability, the Enoki Clan are in the possession of the Mushroom Crab contract. These crabs hail from a secret underground lake filled with bio-luminescent Fungi hidden deep beneath the earth. Most Mushroom Crabs are capable of using the Mushroom Spore Technique, though some younger or elderly ones are either too frail or too inexperienced to expend the chakra needed. Most Mushroom Crabs also have strong pincers and had durable shells, and can regrow their mushrooms if they are removed or damaged. The largest and most powerful of all the Mushroom Crabs is Cancer (蟹座), the King Crab. He can only be summoned by the Clan leader. CLAN HIERARCHY: -- The Clan is governed by the Head of the Clan, and a council of representatives from the larger sects of the family. While the scattered family members are free to act on their own unless called back to their roots by the council, those who reside in Sunagakure as members of the primary family are loyal to their village and follow it's hierarchy unless it threatens the family.
