APPEARANCE HEIGHT 6" 1' WEIGHT 220 lb Rocky is a six foot man with a built and strong body. His bodily musculature is cut from years of developing his muscles. His body due to his active lifestyle was always fit even as a kid. His size was also a factor as it at times intimidated his peers. His skin is that of black melanin with his facial features as cut and mean looking with large full lips. The color of his eyes are beige and also slanted, fierce-looking with his eyebrows having three teeth at their ends. His hair is black long and flowing with sleek rectangular bangs at the sides that fall to the small of his neck and braid bindings at either side. Lastly is his most well-known feature, his rather large bulbous nose. His mission clothes are an always-opened black vest jacket that has two pockets, one on each side with a red t-shirt (sans the necklace seen in the picture). He wears shiny slacks, and unlike most ninja, snap-on boots instead of sandals. Lastly he wears a pair of sports bandages around his wrists. His everyday clothes are him wearing his red shirt without the vest with a pair of black shorts with everything else being the same. Ninja tool belt is at his bottom on his right side for easy access and to fit all the weapons he carries. His gauntlets are placed in his slacks pockets. | ||||||||
PERSONALITY NINDO - "The weak can become strong, and I walk the path of that weakness." Brave - Despite only using taijutsu he might as well be called fearless. He runs into the fold without even giving it a second thought, protects those who need it without batting an eye, and shows nothing more than confidence towards his enemies even if they have him out pegged, maybe it is because of his grit, but if someone wants to scare him even if they are strong he won’t hesitate to fight. Determined - There isn’t nothing he won’t do if he places in his mind that he is doing it. He takes everything with a strong willingness to finish it, even if it could mean his death. What he lacks in range he makes up for with charging through and fighting back whenever he can. So what if one is strong, so what if one is more talented than he, he very rarely gives up without good reason. Reliable - What he lacks in decorum he makes up for in being there when he is needed and doing what is necessary of him even if he doesn’t like it. Whether it be stalling for time, risking his life or walking a dog if he says he will do it, he will. He takes this very seriously. Honest - To himself and to others he is someone who commits himself with various notations of honesty. This is either because he can’t lie well or because he doesn’t wish to. His intentions are made clear the very moment he says something. It can’t be mistaken that if those who know him ask him a question he won’t say: “I’m not going to lie to you”, he won’t. It becomes more difficult to do this in interrogations, so he instead keeps quiet and takes to struggling instead. Independent - He isn’t afraid of asking people for help at times though mostly tries to fix what he starts by himself instead. He can cook his own meals, wash and fold his own laundry and make his own schedules in training. He tries to ask for as little from people as possible once more though their are times even he as independent as he is needs help at times even if he is a stubborn fool at those times too. Inflexible - Rocky usually likes to stay on his scheduling, he doesn’t like to change his ways and instead stays as stubborn. The most defined reason as to why he refuses to learn ninjutsu and genjutsu to a higher level for instance is because he specialized in something he knew most of, taijutsu. Thus he is unbending and when he says he is gonna do something unless he understands the importance of not doing it, he will. Perfectionist - He practices things thoroughly. He has a bit of OCD with keeping up a certain schedule behind things. He feels as though one should hold some pride and be accountable for their lives and their techniques. Quick-tempered - He can be easily annoyed by things he does not like. There are times when insults can put him over the top and he gives an insult right back and times when he gets tired of people asking the same questions over and over and he wants to punch them in the face. Easily annoyed and quick to fight he resolves a hot-blooded nature in this. Harsh - With his honesty and inflexible nature comes a certain harshness to his words. He makes things very clear with no issue in telling what he thinks even if there is a harsh twist in them. He means well if it’s for a good cause but feels that if he isn’t speaking from the heart he is just toying around with people. If he thinks you’re weak, he means it. If he thinks you’re an idiot, he means it. If he thinks you stink of body odor, he says it. Honesty is the best policy though not the happiest one. Reckless - His actions speak louder than his words. So when it comes to doing something it shows aggressively, as if a train (or a train wreck) on a mission. He dashes into things without considering what could be on the other side and does so without afterthought. Though as he grew older his recklessness has been subjugated somewhat, his passion is something that will never completely go away so his recklessness will never disappear completely even if he is an old bastard. | ||||||||
HISTORY Rocky, born in Kumogakure his life wasn't that complicated. Contrarily it was pretty normal. Two doting parents a father he looked up to who was a construction worker in the village and a mother whose stubborn nature made her son equally as stubborn, life was good. What he learned from that unyielding stubbornness was to never yield when you thought you were right. His father and himself had weirdly shaped noses and he was constantly picked on for it. His father taught him how to fight back and so he did and he wanted to get strong. Simply put, he learned to fight by smacking any of his peers away with his fists. His father full of laughter he was called a trouble-maker by adults but only acted on defending himself. He entered the Cloud Village Academy and learned to become a ninja. Because of his experiences he learned that he could only trust his own fists. So he was stubborn their too and often got called out for his teachers because of it. His mother beat his ass one day due to his teachers saying that if he could not depend on those teaching him to guide him down the path he needed to become he couldn't become a ninja. This was hilarious due to the aforementioned stubborn nature his mother also had. He listened due to both respecting his mother and listening to his teachers, learned and excelled at the ninjutsu and genjutsu of the academy and passed. Skip ahead he becomes a genin and after doing so goes back to being stubborn and moving back to training only with his fists because of a distaste for the techniques. He is tested by his teacher of a jounin and due to his stubbornness is once again almost failed. Yet his determination is what set him apart from his group and after showing just how far that stubbornness went, the teacher saw something in him and decided he passed the test. Rocky did everything himself. Trained by himself when he could, almost rarely talked to his teammates and played (NOT THAT WAY) with himself on open days due to his teammates being some of the peers who bullied him, he didn't like them and they felt mutuality in this. So one could tell the first few missions were screwy. But over time they learned to have a certain respect and over time he gained a soft-spot for the two teammates and embraced a bit of teamwork. Rocky developed his style in between being a genin. It couldn't really be called a style though the techniques were pretty basic, they could be called "Strong Fist" but nothing significantly special, however due to his delivery, his grit. The techniques became powerful because of an unyielding practice regiment much like his attitude. There were shortcomings but over time they were passed with him trusting his jounin and that jounin called in a few favors so that he could get stronger quickly. He learned the basic techniques, at a pretty smooth pace. Chunin exams were passed on his third try so he became one at fifteen years old as his team had been training for almost two years together so they were in sync and they all passed because of this. Third time was the charm. His skills improved, his parents grew older and proud of the accomplishments their boy had overcome. His passion and the essence of his zeal had pushed him pretty far. His never-ending training and his wish to improve only his taijutsu had changed him, but made him the same. Like the mountain, he was unyielding, even in combat to his foes, even if knocking at deaths door or losing, he stayed strong and at times reckless. But there was never a time he turned his back on a challenge willingly, he came to understand the importance of having a team, the importance of listening and growing as an individual. At seventeen he was pretty well-known in his village. His techniques were polished with a skill that was much his own. But what was truly known about him was that he was a strong, reliable and brave ninja. But his story never-ends, the battle scars, the experience, until the day that he dies, it will never ever be forgotten.Turns out maybe being a stubborn bastard has its perks. | ||||||||

His fighting style is akin to a combination of boxing and kickboxing tied into one with many of his attacks being based upon fundamental striking and movement disciplines based on dodging and counteracting. His signature traits in combat are his explosive physical strength and speed which are made to beat his foes as quickly as he can in combat situations. Priding himself in these traits, he aims towards victory in battle using only his taijutsu skills, not to prove anything but because he likes it that way. He takes to using these skills in tandem with a pair of knuckle dusters that reinforce the sheer weight of his strikes to even greater levels. BUKIJUTSU: SKILL RANK: D SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: The only weapon he knows how to use explicitly is his knuckle dusters and those are driven by his fists. He can throw kunai but not well as he pours most of his time into his training. He has advanced his speed to exceptional levels, and can dart around with great ease and quickness while also reacting to things too fast for most normal shinobi to react. He uses this speed to defeat foes in record time and to outmaneuver his enemies and uses it in tandem with his strength for a dangerously strong combo. Enhanced Strength Rocky focuses on two main characteristics of his fighting style, his physical strength and his speed. His sheer strength has advanced a great deal, having powerful blows that can easily break bones and knock the wind out of his enemies. His brute force comes even in speediest of blows, showing that when focused his strikes can do quite a bit of damage. With his power he uses his speed to overpower his foes as well as outmatch them in sheer force making force a dangerously strong combo. H2H Skills Rocky is deeply engaged in his martial arts and has learned to define and create a combat style all his own. In combat he employs a style reminiscient of boxing and kickboxing, also using technical movements like ducking, bobbing, weaving, etc. Rocky prides himself on being both fast and strong, having a decisively straightforward combat style that looks to completely overwhelm and defeat foes quickly, so he is usually the first to move in and take enemies out when he sees an opportunity. Rocky is considered by many an instinctive fighter, reckless and quickwitted in combatting those who threatens him, he takes actions rather than thought in how to fight so he follows his intuition to follow the flow of combat isntead. With all of this he uses simple knuckle dusters against weapon users for brilliant effect, not using them normally as he likes the feeling of his fist smashing his foe, the knuckles reinforce his already powerful blows even further and can be used to block and parry other weapons. | ||||||||
