APPEARANCE HEIGHT -- 5'4 WEIGHT – 130 lbs Saizo is fairly ordinary in terms of clothing, and he doesn't wear any unique items. His clothing consists of a simple navy kimono shirt with dark colored pants. Underneath this he wears the standard shinobi mesh armour for some defense. His overall appearance, however, is not as normal. He keeps his eyes constantly narrowed to slits, rarely ever opening his eyes enough to reveal the ripple pattern and grey color of his Rinnegan. Saizo, albeit physically strong is unusually thin looking and with very sharp features, giving him a skeletal appearance, and bears unusual silver hair. He also keeps his face set in a wide mocking smile, which he only wipes off on rare occasions of annoyance, surprise, confusion, or even sadness. | ||||||||
PERSONALITY NINDO “A clever crow always paints its feathers black” Saizo's two dominant traits are his apparent lack of intelligence and his incredible imagination. He is cheeky, cheerful, and full of mischievous ideas and despite him being a shinobi he is generally a fun-loving person. Saizo never seems condescending when criticizing others and offers his opinions and thoughts in a matter-of-fact manner. He also has a calm temperament, even able to stay level-headed in dangerous or dire situations to think up of plans and solutions. When solving a problem Saizo uses his imagination and is not bound by existing concepts. Thus, sometimes he can come up with unimaginable ideas to escape from difficult situations. This aspect of his personality greatly influenced his present fighting style. Saizo rarely change personality wise. This is because he views the world in a straightforward and simple manner, he is occasionally the only person who can see past events that have taken place and realize the true goal, yet at other times he can fall into the simplest of traps. He is, however, a genius when it comes to fighting, using his oddball mind and imagination to come out on top in tough situation, this also extends to his training as he can come up with a way to learn certain jutsu faster than others. It has been stated more than once that Saizo's instinct and behavior is similar to that of a wild animal's, like when he knows who he has to fight before he even gets to the battle. Even his fights show this as he relies on his instincts and counterattacks, which complements the way he views the world. He is most often seen smiling, except in a fight where he is forced to use all his power. In many cases, when in battle or training the opponents fail to understand whether Saizo is serious or just playing during fights due to his bizarre actions. however, he has maintained that he is always serious during fights. In most cases, once he starts to fight he maintains a serious attitude and is only seen laughing once he defeats the enemy or is certain the enemy will be defeated. Despite lacking the general knowledge that other people have, he is overall creative in his every aspect of his life and is capable of seeing things his own way. The most worrying thing about him is that sometimes he can become so determined in his actions that he does not care about what is right or wrong. | ||||||||
HISTORY Born into a world which only knew struggle, strife, and hatred, days after his birth, Saizo would witness the cruelty of the world first hand. Losing his mother to an unknown illness days after she conceived him and having lost his father two months before he'd even ventured into this world. Luckily, his mother's side of the family carried a fragile old man, her father, who was aware of what life without family was; how it could mold people into acting out in horrible, devious ways. Damned if he would ever live to see his only daughter's son, his grandson walks a similar path, immediately he had taken the boy under his wing as a care-giver, a guardian. Saizo was always a rowdy child, found usually running about his grandfather's estate, and getting into trouble. He was particularly fond of playing in his grandfather's armory, a room lost in time, reminiscent of his grandfather's golden days, when his grandfather fought along side the Shodai Yami Lord. Saizo would usually pretend to be a warrior in the war that was being waged--the life of war, of ninja was usually what he aspired to live. It was glamorous for him. However, times were not easy. Being that Yamigakure had recently gone public with its declaration as a official shinobi village, like his daughter, Tenzo was a shinobi of Oni no kuni . An aged veteran who had managed to live a life well past the normal life expectancy of a shinobi; because of this, he had given up the life of fighting. Using the monetary gains he earned throughout his life to found a safe haven for children who had lost their parents and had no clan to shelter them. Finally, Saizo would witness first hand at how cruel and cold the ninja world truly was. All around him, through his eyes he saw nothing but sadness, the sight of children much like him, with only Tenzo as a guardian figure. At the time, they were mere children, unable to grasp a firm hold on the lives their parents, brothers, sisters and loved ones had, only after Tenzo started training Saizo and the rest of the children did they begin to see the true colors of the world. Tenzo was an extraordinary shinobi, The circumstances in which Tenzo became a Shinobi of Oni no kuni and learned ninjutsu and taijutsu are unknown. However, its rumored that at some point in his life, he fought the Shodaime Yami Lord to a draw, and was the only one until then to live to tell the tale. Tenzo trained the boy himself, molding him into a fitting image of both his mother and father, who each held the greatest of moral standards. However, over the years, their own bond grew, which inevitably lead to Saizo inheriting many of his grandfather's traits and even a bit of his gregarious persona. Saizo's grandfather started to teach him the basics of the shinobi arts. Seeing how they were non clan shinobi born within Oni no kuni, Tenzo wanted to give Saizo an edge on the his peers. Saizo's grandfather push him way beyond the boy's limits. He would impart his own knowledge unto his grandson, however to experience and drive needed to survive within oni no kuni differed from person to person. Tenzo himself didn’t exactly know how he’d managed to live to such an age, however he would assist Saizo on his journey. Being a determined boy who wanted to overcome the crutches the world had given him. Saizo would soon join the ninja academy. With the new founded village, Saizo dream could be realized. He wanted to become a strong ninja despite not having a Kekkei Genkai. Initially, Saizo was picked on at the Ninja Academy because compared to his peers he was normal…or was he the odd one out? Being the most normal student within Yami's academy made Saizo the odd one. This forced him to devote his time into honing his shinobi skills and mediating. During this time Tenzo saw his grandson struggling with his peers, so he taught Saizo the idea of a "self-rule" to push oneself beyond their limits. Saizo had taken his grandfather’s wisdom to heart and would never forget them. Saizo's own rule was him setting limits for his training, if that limit wasn't met due to exhaustion, he would have to do a larger number of yet another strenuous training method. Saizo continued to hone his skills as a academy student and was attentive in all of his classes, which wasn’t a great surprise given his curious nature. With the village being one of the first that wasn’t associated with the major nations. A lot of the citizens would enroll their children into the academy. Likewise a large majority of the kids had already dreamed of becoming shinobi. Wanting to show their loyalty and support to their new leader this generation of Oni no kuni citizen would become known as “the shinobi boomers” with almost every family wanting to make a name for themselves. Saizo was also apart of the kids who dreamed to serve their Lord. He wanted to become strong, he wanted to see the world but most of all he wanted to repay his grandfather for teaching him the shinobi arts. It was his vow to become strong enough to not only make Yamigakure great but also repay his grand father for everything. In the academy life was entirely different, there were people from all over Oni no kuni. Kids with arms like spiders, others who even had their siblings living inside them. Saizofelt so normal around them, so much so that it made him work harder than those around him. During his time within the academy Saizo would discover not only his natural affinity to be wind release but also that he had inherited one of the Three Great Dojutsu, the Rinnegan. Although he didn’t feel as confident as his peers. He would soon get a glimpse of his potential during a spar with his grandfather. Saizo's graduation was nearing and his grandfather wanted to make sure he was ready for the next step in his life. Despite the creation of the shinobi organization system, which was mostly put in place to protect inexperienced ninja, even genin could whine up dead. Tenzo would mock him in their fight, using psychological tactics that shinobi would only use on their enemies. Until the young boy not even in the academy yet unleashed wave of chakra that left critically Tenzo critically injured and their home completely destroyed. The event was caused by Saizo awakening his Rinnegan, which once awakened couldn’t be turned off. Before the event had taken place Tenzo had beaten the boy unconscious, however Saizo sheer will power alone kept his body moving. As tenzo walked to pick up his grandson's body. Saizo would pick himself up from the ground, his chakra rising and becoming visible. Unconsciously Saizo raised his hands together in a fluid motion, sending a wave of invisible chakra that “repelled” everything away from the boy in a dome like defense. Including his grandfather and their home. Sitting in the middle of the wreckage within a large crater created from his chakra. Moist ripple patterned eyes watched in horror as Saizo realized he was the one who caused the destruction. Rushing to his grandfather Saizo would stay by his grand father’s side as Souzin's forces moved in to assess the situation and bring Tenzo to the hospital. Though Saizo had almost killed his grand father, ended the man’s shinobi career and destroyed their home, Tenzo couldn’t be more proud of the boy allowing him to continue on to become a shinobi of the village hidden in darkness. Graduating at the age of 12, Saizo continued on his conquest in becoming a stronger ninja, he began to practice the infamous jutsu that had cost his Grand father’s Shinobi career, with his grandfather. It was his first time trying to utilize the Rinnegan’s abilities since the event. After becoming a shinobi Saizo figured it was time for him to try and master the doujutsu that persuaded his grandfather to allow him to become a shinobi. Ultimately Saizo wasn’t able to recreate a weaker version of the jutsu he had used. However he had learned much about the base abilities the Rinnegan had bestowed upon him, the first of these abilities was the ability to learn all chakra natures, the second was it’s ability to create chakra receivers in the form of block rods. Which, Saizo usually uses as swords or stakes. At his current level this was all Saizo was able to uncover about the eye itself. Despite all his efforts Saizo knew he would only get so far by himself. Doing missions and training in a squad would give him the necessary experience to further his rank and bring in income for Tenzo . It wasn’t long however before Saizo would get his wish. Being placed on a team with a shinobi from the Akuma clan and another from the Kuroda clan. This was a pivotal moment in his life; things were only going to get harder from here on. | ||||||||
SPECIALIZATIONS: Rinnegan: SKILL RANK:(C) SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: First and foremost the Rinnegan grants the Saizo a wide range of abilities without chakra requirement to keep the eyes active. With his Rinnegan Saizo is able to see chakra, as well as its flow within the body and the activated tenketsu of the Eight Gates(despite not knowing what they are), but cannot see through obstructions such as smoke bombs. Because he has the Rinnegan, Saizo was able to learn three nature transformations at his young age. With the other's being easier to learn if he so pleased. The Rinnegan also allows him create black receivers into which he can transmit he chakra, Saizo uses these as weapons such as swords and staffs. Possessing the Rinnegan also grants Saizo access to a family of abilities collectively known as the Six Paths Technique, which is Saizo currently unknown to Saizo. Lastly, like the other great doujutsu the Rinnegan grants enhances sight and allows him to see chakra(as stated above) and track high speed movement (though not as well as the sharingan). NINJUTSU: SKILL RANK:(D) SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Being that Ninjutsu is one of the two styles Saizo mainly focus in, the other being Bukijutsu. Saizo is highly capable within his skill range. Being able to use Raiton, Katon and Futon chakra natures. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Because of Saizo use of the Rinnegan, Saizo's skill in and ability to learn ninjutsu is, while still considered D rank, stronger than most shinobi of his rank. The pinnacle of Saizo's ninjutsu is his ability to use chakra flow jutsu in tandem with the Rinnegan's chakra receivers. TAIJUTSU: SKILL RANK:(E) SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Saizo isn’t as skill in Taijutsu as he is with the arts of ninjutsu or Bukijutsu which the latter could be considered a subcategory of the art. However he has basic knowledge in rudimentary hand to hand combat and can hold his own against others who are the same rank as he is and aren’t specialist in the art. That being said, these rudimentary skis polished with the slight increase of perception granted by the Rinnegan allows Saizo a bit of defense when combating shinobi who are typically taijutsu users. BUKIJUTSU: SKILL RANK: D SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Being the next preferred style Saizo specializes in, Bukijutsu is one of Saizo strong suits. After having unlocking the ability to create the Rinnegan's chakra receivers, Saizo not knowing what their purpose was, would start to use tjem as weapons. From shuriken to swords to blunt force items such as hammers and staffs. Saizo is capable of wielding them all, while his skill isn’t nearly on par of that with a master or even an adept weapon specialist Saizo is still able to hold his own. This coupled with his ninjutsu and the Rinnegan's clarity allows for him to be one of the best bukijutsu users in his skill range. GENJUTSU: SKILL RANK: E SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: As far as Genjutsu is concerned Saizo can't even be considered as Genin level within this style of combat. During his time within the academy most of his teachers thought that he would do well within the art due to his creative and flamboyant personality, however Saizo's skill in genjutsu is borderline non-existent, with him only knowing the text book descriptions of it’s use, however still being unable to use it himself. FUUINJUSTU: SKILL RANK: E SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Saizo had hardly givem Fuinjutsu a thought when in the academy. Seeing the style as to tedious and boring to integrate into his fighting style. However, being that Fuinjutsu is a sub-category of ninjutsu. If Saizo ever wanted to, he could very well become a practitioner of this art aswell. As it stands, Saizo's skill in fuinjutsu is academy level at best with him only knowing the basics of the style thanks to his general ninjutsu knowledge. | ||||||||

This aspect of his being allows anything he does with his hands to be quick and steady including but not limited to hand signs, throwing punches, as well as grabbing preparing and throwing projectiles. Because of this inherent swiftness in his hands he is able to weave hand seals so quickly that even those without augmented eyesight would have trouble noticing if he used hand seals for his jutsu or not. This also helps tremendously while combating multiple opponents in hand to hand combat as he can use his nimble hands to spring attacks, whether it be punches or projectiles, on multiple enemies without them noticing who exactly he is targeting. Enhanced Evasion Over the course of his young life, Saizo has gained a greater level of agility than most shinobi within his skill level, this coupled with limited clarity granted to him by Rinnegan has endowed him with impressive evasive skills. Utilizing both his agility and the dounjutsu allows him to dodge, evade and even counter the trickiest of attacks. Although not in par as the likes of an Uchiha, Saizo has also learned to read his enemies' attack patterns and thus greatly increased his already potent evasive skills. | ||||||||
