五十年祭・鎮魂歌 | Kojūnensai・Chinkonka [Jubilee・Requiem] WEAPON TYPE: Fushihataki | Tomotantō [Knuckleduster | Companion Daggers] RANK: C APPEARANCE: Inspired after a close encounter with some thugs using brass knuckles, Yowabi asked his father to have similar weapons made. His particular blades are a uniquely-designed trench knife worn like brass knuckles, wearing the blades above his knuckles with a zigzag-shape for each knuckle, giving each blade teeth-like edges. Each tantō has a fire theme; the handle is a burnt orange, fading into a light apple-red before shifting back to a lemon-yellow. Each blade is one shaku in length (~30cm / 1ft) and is dual edged. Despite their size, each blade is roughly 2kg (~5lbs.), and possesses a gyroscope where the tang of the blade and the grip meet, allowing the blades to always remain perfectly balanced. Unlike typical tantō these blades are styled after yoroidōshi (鎧通し; yoroidōshi, lit. "armor piercer") daggers, specifically piercing armor and stabbing while grappling in close quarters, having a tapering peaked back-ridge with a thick blade at the bottom and thin at the top. The thickness of each blade is roughly 5cm (~2in), which is characteristic of the yoroidōshi; the extra thickness at the spine of the blade distinguishes the yoroidōshi from a standard tantō blade. ABILITIES: 宇宙鋼状iい耐久性 | Uchūkōjōi Taikyūsei [Nebium Durability] Made using the immensely durable steel nebium originating from the 7th Heaven mountain range, Yowabi's companion tantō are incredibly durable in comparison to weapons of similar ranking. The blades are able to adjust to the sheer power and force of Yowabi's strikes, dispersing the intense vibrations throughout the metal to ensure maximum stability. Despite their small size Yowabi can use the weapons to cleave through flesh and bone with relative ease, and even leave gouges in stone, given the natural density of nebium; while not quite as durable or strong as high-ranked counterparts, these tantō allow Yowabi to unleash flurries of strikes relatively quickly by taking advantage of the weapons' weight and internal gyroscope. The blades can also be used to defend against taijutsu and bukijutsu of moderate intensity, while also being able to withstand some abuse from elemental ninjutsu.NOTE: Yowabi's tantōs' immunities stem from nebium, granting them immunity to Katon/Raiton damage [C-rank and below], resistance to moderate physical attacks [c-rank and below taijutsu/bukijutsu] and cutting/smashing power of Fūton/Doton [c-rank and below] |
