APPEARANCE HEIGHT 5'6 WEIGHT 140 lbs Niwa is of average height for a woman, with a fair complexion and smooth skin. Her eyes are a deep dark blue, which stand out because of her pink hair. She has a thin build, with just the healthy amount of fat. Her build is..gifted. From her big bust, thin waste and wide hips, its fairly obvious she's a woman, and seen as a very beautiful one. Unless recently using a certain jutsu, she has a rhombus-like marking on the center of her forehead. Her outfit of choice is a simple one, one that doesn't restrict movement. She wears a pink tank top, with blue shorts that go about half way down her thighs. If the area is more serious, she'll wear a black long sleeved kimono, although she'll have the same outfit underneath. | ||||||||
PERSONALITY NINDO "You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war." Long Fuse- Niwa is not one you can easily piss off, with the exception of a select few subjects. Chances are if you are trying to annoy her, she'll either ignore you, or leave. Should you hit one of those few nerves, she will beat you to a pulp, then shove you into a barrier for a ridiculously long period of time. Lazy But Will Do Work If Necessary- Niwa inherited her father's...well laziness. If its small and simple she'll do it, but if she sees a huge stack of paper's she'll try to shove it off onto someone else. If pressured she of course will do it but will complain the whole way. Emphasis On Names- Niwa has a very heavy obsession with the meanings of names, both what it means normally and what it means to them. Its one doesn't put any thought into their name or the name of their kids, she will become very pissed. Not to the point of hurting someone, but its likely she won't be talking to them for a while. Attack Second- Niwa isn't the offensive person in combat. Her style is to block or evade, then counter. She also uses her chakra control to her advantage, most of the time having her opponent wear themselves out before finishing them off. When commanding instead of fighting, she thinks as strategically as possible, even going so far as temporarily consider all soldiers merely chess pieces. Serious Most of the Time- Niwa, with the exception of a select few situations, is mostly the stick in the mud. Its all down to business, no time for jokes. If a problem is presented, she wiill find the best and quickest way to solve it. However when around friends and those she trusts, she becomes a bit more relaxed and lets things work themselves out. Uncaring Towards Others- Niwa is...well a rock when it comes to people. To friends she is the person you can rest your shoulder on. She will be aware of your feelings and try her best to help. When it comes to others though, she is a hard cold stone. If you have a problem that doesn't NEED her help, oh well solve it yourself. You got an issue? Grow up and get over it. Doesn't Trust Those She Doesn't Know- Niwa doesn't trust any new people. If she just met you she's assuming the worse case scenario, and already has some plan laid out. If you are overly nice, this is even more true as she trust few people who are like that. In this case you'll be lucky if she doesn't have surveillance placed on you. Open To New Things- Niwa is open to change, albeit slowly. She finds sudden changes to be unnecessary and some times detrimental. When it comes to changes to the village, she will give them a hard look over before either denying or approving them, with the latter being done at a crawl. When it comes to changes to herself, she will try the change and, if she likes it, will stick with it. If not well obviously she won't do it. Will Only Except Help From Friends- Niwa prefers to solve problems on her own. Simply its a matter of standing on her own two feet. She, especially as Tsuchikage, feels she needs to do things on her own. As such she will except help from no one except the other kage, whom she knows personally. Pessimist- Niwa is a pessimist. While she won't voice it, her first thought on everything tends to be the worst case scenario. While she has enough control to know that the worst case scenario and most of the horrible ones aren't likely to happen and that she shouldn't act on it, it is always a big possibility in her mind. Aware/Focused- Niwa is always aware of her surroundings. She makes note of everything around her, and will never fully let her guard down. There are only two exceptions to this. The first being when she is around the other Kage, as she is close to them. The second is when she is drunk, which is a rarity. Reigned In- Niwa is normally quiet reserved about the way she acts. She will hold back comments and control her emotions to the point she seems as cold as ice. In her eyes this allows her to make the best decisions for the village. With friends however she is MUCH more open about her feelings and opinions, to the point of being rather blunt. Emotionally Closed- Niwa doesn't like burdening anyone with her problems. This applies to everyone, friend foe or a neutral person. Her problems are her own, and as such only she can burden them. She is aware when it comes to her friends it makes her a HUGE hypocrite but this is a part of her she refuses to change. | ||||||||
HISTORY Forty years ago, Niwa was born into the Uzumaki Clan, a part of the clan that had fled to Tsuchi no Kuni. Born on the year that the formation wars ended, she grew up during the times in which the five nations were competing for Juubei, although shortly after they decided to just try to kill it on sight. Fortunately, her parents and her lived far away from the combat, only knowing ninjutsu to defend themselves. As such they thought it was the best place to keep their child away from the greed of the Diamyos and their shinobi. However, at the mere age of four, the village her family lived in was attacked by an enemy shinobi force trying to take their land. They would not be able to claim any of Tsuchi no Kuni's land, but they did piss off one of the strongest shinobi in Tsuchi no Kuni: Mamoru Hōseki, the future Shodaime Tsuchikage. When they had killed most of the village, Mamoru arrived, only to see a village of the land he loved in ruins. In a few seconds the enemy shinobi were dead, and it seemed no one in the village was alive. However, he managed to find Niwa do to her crying, and chakra sensing, finding her hiding under a tarp using Kakuremino no Jutsu. Realizing the girl had a good amount of chakra and had apparently already been training in ninja arts, he took her in as his own child, and naming her Niwa, meant to mean the second stone. Niko would be raised in an area of Tsuchi no Kuni where combat was least likely to happen. While there she grew up as Niwa Hōseki, child of Mamoru Hōseki. While she would train with her father, it was an on off thing as he left often to help Tsuchi no Kuni. Most of her training was with her father's servant: Iwao. Most of their lessons would pertain to the use of her main chakra nature: Doton. This ranged from her learning several Doton ninjutsu, to contact sensory through vibrations in the ground. When not teaching her to use Doton, he would teach her about tactics in combat. While training with her father, he would teach her taijutsu and Raiton. He would also teach her chakra control, something he was an expert in. On her own she would learn Fuinjutsu, and barrier ninjutsu. Back then she was much different than what she was now. Until she was twenty she would be kept out of battles, training in what herself, her father, and Iwao would teach her. For years she had been arguing with her father about going out to help with defending Tsuchi no Kuni. At the age of twenty, when her father went off to a meeting between the five nations (during which he would gain the title: Tsuchikage), they were notified of a group of Juubei Clones attacking a village. Rather than going to fight on his own, Iwao secretly took the young girl with him, albeit against his master's will. Once there, Iwao went after the seemngly strongest of the clones while telling Niwa to stay focussed on the rest. Thanks to her use of Doton, tactics, and extremely fast Taijutsu, dispatching them was easy. Iwao, on the other hand, was having the most difficult fight of his life. Infact, the second Niwa finished combat, Iwao was killed by the lone remaining clone. In rage, Niwa manifested her chakra chains in the form of Kongeki Fusa, impaling lead clone before tearing him to shreds. Afterwards she turned home with Iwao's body, giving him a proper burial. Upon his father's return, she told him what had happened. While furious about what had happened, he could see now that her will to help Tsuchi no Kuni was higher than ever, and there was no stopping her from following him whenever he left to help people. So he revealed to her a secret. She was the member of a clan known as Uzumaki, masters of Fuinjutsu. So before he'd let her join to soon to be Seven Year War (later called the Gokage War) she would have to go to a branch of the Uzumaki clan in Mizu no Kuni to learn to use her newly manifested chains correctly. She would spend two years at Mizu no Kuni, training in Fuinjutsu, Chaikra Chain Combat, and even to use Fire Style. At this time Niwa's training became the same as any other ninja's during this time period: get stronger, or die. She would participate for countless battles, getting stronger after each one. Nothing of importance would happen from her perspective of these battles. As such each battle was merely a way to get stronger until she got to Juubei. Years later her and her father would come to another Kage meeting. Rather than discussing alliances, this was a matter of how to remove Juubei from this world. Niwa knew this would be her hardest battle, but relished the idea of being a part of the mission that would take down the biggest threat to the shinobi world. The Five Kage proceeded to create the jutsu known as: ‘The Creation Of All Things’. Immensely powerful, none of the Kage were strong enough to use this technique on their own, as such they had to do it together. In their battle against Juubei, the Five Kage would use the jutsu together, tearing the chakra that made up the beast to pieces, if the plan worked. Niwa worked along side countless shinobi, including the future second generation of Kage, to destroy countless numbers of Juubei clones that threatened to stop the Gokage's jutsu. Niwa would bind and halt the clones while the other shinobi would finish off the helpless beasts. Luckily for her, Niwa was among those who saw the Gokage destroy the beast, tearing it to shreds just as they had planned. However this battle did not come without sacrifices. Not only had countless shinobi died to the clones, but so did the Gokage. Standing next to her father as he died, she heard his last words. She, along with all shinobi were to learn from the old's mistakes. That war brought nothing but hatred, and eventually the Juubei. As such it was up to them to stop war, and protect the world from it. Her father named her the next Tsuchikage, and told her to work with the others to ensure this never happened again. For the next seven years she would spend her time making Tsuchi no Kuni's hidden village. It would be made from not just the clans, but all shinobi of the land. They would all unite under one purpose: to defend Tsuchi no Kuni from what it had been through, as well as restore it. While the older more stubborn generations would never agree, all of the younger shinobi would break away and join Niwa, creating a new ninja village. Niwa would name it Iwagakure, after the name that her father had given her, and the name of her closest friend. A year later, she would go to the first Kage meeting of the Second Generation of Kage. This was to discuss the creation and use of the of the Shinobi Organizational System. After it was officially created, she implemented it in Iwagakure, as well as holding a test to rank already existent shinobi. She also began training her shinobi a specific and strategic way. Each team complimented the other, and made sure they covered each other's weaknesses. Niwa knew that piece was fragile, and as such built up their military above all else. The military of Iwagakure would be known above all, being powerful, and underhanded, a deadly combination. Despite this she always reminds everyone of what happened, and that they must always be humane outside of their missions. Niwa also heavily militarized the land of Earth, turning herself, and by extension any future Tsuchikage into the leaders of the land, with the Diyamo being nothng more than a figure head. Niwa would also later have a child, one of unknown parantage. Regardless of this, Niwa has raised him as any mother would, and even trained him to be a shinobi. More recently, Niwa has stepped down as Tsuchikage, naming herself Jonin Hancho, the second in command of the village. As she stepped down, she nominated a powerful shinobi of her choosing for the position of Tsuchikage, whom she has become advisory too, but still trusting the judgement of her council to pick a decent leader, be it her pick or not. She would be instrumental in stopping the two tailed beast, and is in charge of finding a suitable genin to seal it inside of. | ||||||||
SPECIALIZATIONS: Kekkei Genkai | Hijutsu | Hiden Jutsu: Daunting Life-force w/ Adamantine Chakra Chains SKILL RANK: B SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Niwa's skill with the Chakra Chains of her clan can be described only as mastery. With the Sealing Chains she can bind and seal nearly anything. Niwa's chains are near indestructible, needing several B-ranks to even crack them. When using the Attacking Chains, she can cut through even the densest of material, and can customize them to her liking, even making a blade at the end. Her skill with the chains on their own is enough to change directions merely by moving her wrist slightly, allowing her to move the chains in a number of ways. NINJUTSU: SKILL RANK: B SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Niwa's skill with ninjutsu is among the greatest of shinobi. Immense amounts of knowledge on this subject, a certain amount a skill, a LOT of work came into make her ninjutsu skill what it is. While she particularly focused on Doton, she is powerful in all aspects. Be it non elemental, Raiton, or even Katon, she has equal skill in all. She can make fire with flames hot enough to burn items to a crisp in a matter of seconds. Her raiton is notably fast, and equall sharp. As for Doton, it is like breathing to her, as such she can use it in a plethora of uses, be it shields, stealing chakra, walking through the ground as if it was air, or turning herself into a near indestructible melee weapon. TAIJUTSU: SKILL RANK: B SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Yet another skill in which Niwa is rivaled by few. Niwa is an expert in all things combat. Disarming, dodge and counter, all out offense, or being an impenetrable wall, she can do it all. Through strength alone without any enhancements she can lift stone pillars as if they were wooden bo staffs, or even break through stone walls with one hit. When using her ninjutsu to strengthen her taijutsu, she can take down even other jonin with a few hits from her ninjutsu. Her raw speed is fast enough to even give the fully matured Sharingan a run for its money, although its not enough to vanish from the eye. Her own reflexes combined with said speed makes it extremely difficult to touch her. BUKIJUTSU: SKILL RANK: D SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Niwa's strength with bukijutsu is good enough. While powerful, her expertise is limit only to chains and whip like weapons. Everything else he is average in. GENJUTSU: SKILL RANK: E SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Niwa's weakest area, all she knows is how to break out of D-rank genjutsu, but other wise cannot cast her own or do anything with genjutsu. FUUINJUSTU: SKILL RANK: B SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: As you'd expect with an Uzumaki, Fuinjutsu to Niwa is second nature. Even before she knew she was an Uzumaki she was a natural at it, learning complex seals with only a day of practice, and learning seals beyond what most shinobi of her age and level could. Of course her power and knowledge of fuinjutsu also makes it simple for her to break a seal. | ||||||||

She has enough chakra control to make high costing jutsu out of only a small amount of chakra. Being trained by her father, a wielder of the strength of 100 seal, her chakra control is powerful, even if it doesn't match his own. Sensor: Contact Type: Seismic A skill Niwa learned from Iwao, the ability to detect vibrations in the ground to perceive objects, people, and other aspects of their environment, essentially acting as sonar, but through whatever object the user is on. So long as the users feet are on the ground they can 'see' the world around them through vibrations. For Niwa, she can 'see' anything going on within two hundred meters of herself passively. If focused she can sense 1 km around herself and if extending with doton chakra, she can extend this to 15km, albeit she must remain focused and it constantly drains her. Enhanced Reflexes: Milo-second One of her many abilities passed down from her father, the Shodaime Tsuchikage, Niwa's reflexes are near instant. She has the reflexes needed to dodge most attacks, even with out having to mentally register that the attack has happened. (by mentally register I mean have enough time for her mind to realize: oh crap I am being attacked) When combined with her speed, it allows her to dodge and counter nearly all attacks from a shinobi her level. Enhanced Speed: Lightning Another ability Inherited from her father, the Shodaime Tsuchikage, Niwa's speed is fast enough to disappear from the naked eye, and hard for even the Sharingan to track if it is not full matured. This speed is essential in her taijutsu. Few can keep up with her movements, be it offensive or just plain running. Genius Combatant: Niwa is a tactical genius. While average in other areas of the brain, combative approach is where she excels. She knows just what to do in every situation of combat. This allows her to predict and adapt to the most likely way her opponent to react. One must also have an intelligence or unpredictability SA to stand up to her tactics. | ||||||||
