空乗手  | Soranorite  [Skysurfer] WEAPON TYPE: Supplementary [Travel] | Defensive RANK: B APPEARANCE: A rather unique piece of equipment that has become very popular in Kumogakure and the mountanis of Kaminari no Kuni during the winter months. This board measures between 1m29 - 1m81 (~4'2" - 5'9") in length, and typically weigh between and 3.5kg - 9.5kg (~7.7lbs - 21 lbs). The slight variation in sizes allows each individual rider to find a board fitting their size and weight. Where boots or straps might be are two foot-sized circles, each fitted with a steel rod no thicker than one's thumb, each holding roughly 3m worth of chakra-reactive simple bandages. The body of the board as well as the footholes are outlined in a deep crimson, while the rest of the body (as well as the underbody) are a dark blue-violet. The ends of the board bend up slightly, creating a lip to allow easier passing through terrain (primarily snow and dirt).  ABILITIES: 生気導電性 | Seiki Dōdensei   [Chakra Conductive] Perhaps the more unique of the board's simplistic properties is the ability to be chakra reactive. After one steps onto the board and channels their chakra into the board, the first thing that automatically happens will be the chakra-enhanced bandages unravelling and enveloping the feet, ankles and shins, creating a pseudo-layer of protective gear; this can be just as easily removed by simply stopping the flow of one's chakra to the board, allowing a quick and easy dismount. Made from the very same chakra-reactive steel used in many ninja weapons, a skysurfer board allows one to channel one of the five basic elemental natures into the bottom of the board to create a propulsion effect. While the method of propulsion may vary, the purpose is the same. At most a user may reach no higher than 5m on the board safely. As well, it should be noted that the chakra produced by the board is too weak to be used offensively.  Doton: After channeling chakra into one's board, a rider will spedifically focus Earth Release nature chakra, initiating the propulsion process. The board will begin to create a moderate amount of dirt and mud, constantly expelling the material in order to propel the rider forward. Doton riders style typically focuses on power, using bursts of dirt and mud to power through obstacles.  Fūton: After channeling chakra into one's board, , a rider will spedifically focus Wind Release nature chakra, initiating the propulsion process. The board will begin to create a moderate amount of wind-based vectors, constantly expelling the material in order to propel the rider forward. Fūton riders style typically focuses on agility, using the gusts of wind to perform acrobatic-esque maneuvers. Katon: After channeling chakra into one's board, , a rider will spedifically focus Fire Release nature chakra, initiating the propulsion process. The board will begin to create a moderate amount of controlled flames, constantly expelling the substance in order to propel the rider forward. Katon riders style typically focuses on explosiveness, using bursts of flame to execute powerful jumps. Raiton: After channeling chakra into one's board, , a rider will spedifically focus Lightning Release nature chakra, initiating the propulsion process. The board will begin to create a moderate amount of positively charged static electricity, constantly expelling the material in order to propel the rider forward (by pushing against the negatively charged ground). Raiton riders style typically focuses on sheer speed, using bursts of static electricity to launch oneself forward at great speeds.    Suiton: After channeling chakra into one's board, , a rider will spedifically focus Water Release nature chakra, initiating the propulsion process. The board will begin to create a moderate amount of foam and water, constantly expelling the material in order to propel the rider forward. Suiton riders style typically focuses on fluidity, using constant small bursts of water to glide seemlessly over obstacles and terrain. 鋼剛耐久性 | Kōgō Taikyūsei  [Steel-hard Durability] Made from the same quality-grade steel used for basic ninja weapons, a skyboard is relatively durable. Combined with the chakra-reactive properties, an individual board is able to adjust its flexibility depending on the rider, being strong enough to hold up to 181.5 kg (400 lbs). From a combative aspect, the board can be used to defend against most basic weapons and taijutsu attacks [b-rank and below] as well as low level, basic elemental ninjutsu [c-rank and below].
