APPEARANCE HEIGHT 176cm | 5 ft 7 in WEIGHT 63kg | 138.89 lbs Uncommon to Iwagakure is Kikunosuke's natural white hair and golden eyes, traits which make him stick out like a sore thumb in the Hidden Stone Village. Typically, he is seen dressed in a three layered outfit that consists of a dark first layer, white second layer and a white, hooded cloak with golden chains that bears the symbol of a crane. A grey and dark blue sash serves as a belt, securing the two layers underneath the cloak to each other. With this attire, Kikunosuke tends to wear long, dark blue boots decorated with golden designs and short, half-fingerless gloves which covers his middle and ring finger, exposing his pinky, thumb and pointer. Black cuff bracelets are worn slightly beneath his gloves, which stops just barely before the palm. Aside from this, he also wears a golden necklace that holds a small blue sapphire in the middle and can be seen with a red fan in his hand. While this traditional, robe-like outfit may seem somewhat impractical in fights, Kikunosuke proves it otherwise with a few adjustments in battle- Gone is the comfy first layer made of warm, silky fabric: instead, mesh armour takes its place. Armour platings are worn to protect his legs, and gauntlets guard his arms. His boots, however, don't change much in terms of appearance. But upon closer inspection, one can see the slight metallic shine to it - material changed to a lightweight metal, the boots functions as greaves and sollerets, yet still being light enough to offer no obvious impediment to his speed and agility. Further, a small adjustment is made to how his belt is tied, allowing for him to wear the scabbard at his waist if need be. However, due to Kikunosuke's preference for fighting with the scabbard, the silver and gold sheath (which matches the hilt of his sword) often finds itself in his hand rather then tucked away at the belt. Two holsters for various shinobi tools can be located on his left leg, and a small pouch for similar items is latched on to his belt. Of course, Kikunosuke also possesses the standard Iwa shinobi attire, though rarely wears it unless he feels needed to. Same can be said for his Kage garb, something he wears only for official meetings with those not from Iwa. However, he still tends to only wear the hat portion in such cases. | ||||||||
PERSONALITY NINDO With these wings of mine, nothing is impossible. I'll protect all those who follow me and grant them wings of their own. In Iwa, Kikunosuke is typically seen with a carefree smile, a kind heart and a friendly aura. He loves to help others and is viewed as compassionate and empathetic. He likes children and can act a bit childish himself, liking sweets, making origami (from important documents even!) and pulling pranks on others. He can be somewhat flippant as well. Unfortunately, or maybe not, only Iwagakure citizens, friends, family and those lucky few see this happy, relaxed side of him. Anyone else... Well, if they're not enemies, they'll at most start off with a guarded Tsuchikage, one who will still bear a smile (though fake) when speaking with them. In such cases he shows a bit more of his cold and calculative nature, being a little more stiff in such situations. If they're enemies on the other hand...there's a reason they call him the 'Bloodstained Crane' - Kikunosuke gives no quarter to those who earn his hate or stand against him and Iwa. Wherever he goes on the battlefield, a trail of red is sure to follow, and one can expect the shinobi to emerge from battle with his once white outfit dyed crimson in the blood of his enemies. But he's not without reason: if shown that sparing an enemy benefits more than slaughtering them, he'll easily leave the person alive. He's not completely cruel, even if his actions in battle might show otherwise... He does acknowledges that he's a little bloodthirsty (and a bit twisted, enjoying fights and smiling or laughing while at it) and sadistic though, so watch out in battle. Even if he's not downright ruthless, he will probably spill as much blood as he can afford. Overall, Kikunosuke does possess traits that show clearly in any situation - his loyalty and love to and for his village for example. Unfailingly protective of the village and its citizens, Kikunosuke will do whatever he can to ensure their safety and prosperity. He will do whatever it takes to ensure Iwagakure becomes strong - even if it means sacrificing friends. He also takes betrayal pretty badly, and such a thing can cause huge emotional distress for him, though he may not show such feelings publicly. Feeling like he owes it to the village to be a strong leader and someone its citizens can rely on, trust and come to for help or advice, there are things that even Iwa citizens will not see - his personal distress, sadness and troubles are kept from anyone but close friends (though perhaps even they may not know), for he feels such things are unbecoming of a kage, a leader. He feels that those things are weaknesses, and a person in a position of power and leadership should not have weaknesses, for they carry the hopes and dreams of many, and the responsibilities and duties which could make or break a country. He's hard on himself, an innate need to be perfect, and as such tends to do most things by himself, even if they would likely bore him to death. He also tends to work a lot, and can miss meals and rest due to such work habits. He will try to look after himself a little if he knows beforehand that he needs to enter the battlefield though. Aside form these traits, Kikunosuke is also extremely observant, perceptive and manipulative, and for better or worse hates to have to obey to others - he's not submissive, quite the opposite in fact. He's strong-willed and somewhat stubborn, but he's determined and ambitious. All he needs in someone he can trust fully to guide him when he strays. That being said, gaining Kikunosuke's genuine and full trust isn't easy, for Iwa citizens or not. But he's a good friend to have, albeit a little hard to handle. Kikunosuke is also someone who prefers peace to eras of war and battle, even if he is a little bloodthirsty, due to the loss, pain and suffering he's seen result from them. One of his goals is thus to create a land of peace, and make Iwagakure a village where smiles and laughter abound. He wishes the best for the village, and just hopes he can live up to the expectations. As per his upbringing as a Mikagami, Kikunosuke was taught to be polite, and will even attempt to be courteous when angry and annoyed. He disregards this somewhat in battle, however, and when truly angry may forget his manners as well. Oh, fun fact: Kikunosuke can't hold his sake. He gets drunk easily, so he stays as far away from alcohol as he can. Once he's drunk though, he does act pretty funny, so there's that plus. He also likes nature and animals, and music besides. One can often find him lounging around the rocky outcrops that act as Iwa's walls if they can find him in the office, academy or streets of Iwa. He'll be probably found playing his flute, or with his crane(s). And since he likes surprises, he won't mind someone half scaring him to death by jumping out on him... as long as they don't mind finding the end of his sword pointed at them. | ||||||||
