APPEARANCE HEIGHT 5'10 WEIGHT 110 lb A man of average height and weight, Kodama stands at 5'10 and weighs in at 110 pounds. He has no fat on his body, being nothing but pure muscle due to the years of Shinobi training he has gone through. He has shaggy black hair that sits in front of his face, and is usually fairly unkempt as he doesn't comb it straight. His hair is coupled with deep blue eyes, and flawless skin. Underneath his clothing, Kodama has a lean, agile body. While he does have muscle, he is no hulk in terms of his build. He's more slender, though his muscles are very well defined. | ||||||||
PERSONALITY When those with great power use it for destruction, I won't just sit by and watch! True to the Will of Fire of the Senju Clan, Kodama is a person who does not back down easily. Unconditionally trusting and caring for the people of Konoha, Kodama has dedicated his life in protection of the village and it's citizens. Easy to get along with and slow to anger, Kodama isn't really known for emotional outbursts or going off on someone. He's usually a very calm, collected man. He's also a natural born leader, able to keep a level head in the most intense situations. He believes those who hold great power have a responsibility to use that power correctly, and not use it for mindless destruction or conquest. He will not stand for those who abuse the power they have obtained. A believer of the future and the next generation, Kodama is also often seen training Genin and academy students. He's someone one can turn to for help or advice, as he's great at keeping secrets and understanding. He's very empathetic and willing to look at an argument from both sides before coming to a decision, making him a great mediator. But while his anger is slow to rouse, he is not above rage. Kodama has a very much commanding presence when he wants or needs to have one, demanding that all eyes and ears be on him. | ||||||||
HISTORY Born just after the Ten Tails was split into nine beings, Kodama grew up in a small village, near the center of the Land of Fire. He and his clan lived in a massive forest, which was a perfect environment for them. Growing up around these woods, Kodama quickly learned of his Wood Release, a rare Kekkei Genkai of his clan. Of course, Kodama wasn't an only child. The oldest of three children, Kodama quickly learned he had to take care of his siblings if they were to survive. Their mother and father were good people. His mother was a kind, warm hearted woman with black hair. His father was a strong shinobi from the Senju Clan, who had married Kodama's mother, bringing her into the clan. His father was a strickt teacher. Growing up in the Era of the Juubi, his father had the ideals that power is what kept people alive. Kodama showed natural promise. Being naturally attuned to Ninjutsu, as well as having a strong life force and Chakra reserves due to his Kekkei Genkai. His two little brothers however, did not have such promise. They were not useless Shinobi, that was to be sure. They were about average. What one could normally expect from children of their age. But Kodama was special, and that required special attention from his father. Kodama's brothers didn't mind this. It wasn't Kodama's fault he was born with an ability that they lacked. Due to this though, Kodama developed a protective demeanor towards his allies and siblings. He was always praised and rewarded, and seemed to take easy to things like Ninjutsu and Mokuton. His brothers however had to work harder to achieve the same result. Kodama didn't brag about it or rub it in their faces. Instead, it wasn't uncommon for his mother to see Kodama giving pointers and helping out his brothers in secret, away from their father's eyes. At the age of eight, Kodama had his first taste of battle. Another clan had decided to clash with theirs, trying to stamp out the Senju clan in order to solidify themselves higher up in the soon-to-be Konohagakure no Sato. The Senju were going to be one of the founding members of the village. Hell, Kodama himself had been assigned to help create the foundations for the village with his Mokuton, as well as the other two Mokuton users of the clan. He clashed with another child, another shinobi who had been brought to the fight. The battle lasted a few hours, but eventually Kodama emerged victorious. But not at a cost. He had slain the other Shinobi. He had to, after all. It was his duty. He had killed the boy so that he could live. That had gotten Kodama thinking about the state of things, even at such a young age. What was the point of it all? Why did clans fight each other and kill each other, when everyone meets the same end regardless? That was when Kodama's dream became solidified. He would rise to greatness. Gain power so that he could unite the Shinobi world. The Jubii had been sealed away, but the world still had strife and conflict. Humans were going to cause their own downfall if this kept up. Kodama didn't want to let that happen, but he knew he can't force people into peace, either. Peace via force is no real peace at all. People have to want peace. He just hopes he can help make that happen. When the village was founded, Kodama was given a headband of the Village and sent out on missions for the village. Nothing super dangerous due to him still being a child. Once the Shinobi Ranking System was put in place, Kodama was given the rank of Advanced Genin. At the age of fifteen, he was promoted to Chuunin, and given the ability to lead his own squads. A job suited to Kodama, as people seemed to listen to him. Kodama is not unaware of the unrest brewing between villages. There were signs of it growing. Small signs, such as not recieving as many missions and occasionally running into other villages teams. Most of them occured without incident, though. But Kodama has battled a few Shinobi from other villages. He just hopes another war doesn't break out. | ||||||||
SPECIALIZATIONS: Kekkei Genkai - Mokuton SKILL RANK: C SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Naturally in tune with the Forest, Kodama lives up to his clan title of "Shinobi from the Forest." Adapted into his main fighting style, Mokuton Style Ninjutsu is his strongest ninjutsu. He knows it better than any other element and will not hesitate to fall back on it when nothing else works. NINJUTSU: SKILL RANK: C SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: While Kodama is skilled in Mokuton Ninjutsu, he knows he has to rely on other forms of Jutsu at times. Wood doesn't work against everything and he's not naive enough to try it. Training in other forms of Ninjutsu such as Suiton and Doton have allowed Kodama to expand his jutsu repitoire to allow him better access to techniques and a more rounded out fighting style. TAIJUTSU: SKILL RANK: D SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Kodama doesn't have a massive speciality in Taijutsu like he does with Ninjutsu and Mokuton. While he's had some basic training and is capable of fending off Genin or the average thug, he won't be able to really take on those who have had better training than himself. In those instances, he falls back on his Ninjutsu or ninja tools. His Taijutsu is more a supplementery fighting style, not his direct one. BUKIJUTSU: SKILL RANK: D SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Trained in the art of Ninja Tools since childhood, Kodama is fairly good at it. Like Taijutsu, it's supplemetry to his fighting style, and not a main part of it. He knows how to properly hold and handle the tools and the like, however he is no expert. He could easily be beaten in this field by someone who has had proper training and practice in Bukijutsu. GENJUTSU: SKILL RANK: E SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Kodama has had nothing more than basic training of Chakra Control when it comes to Genjutsu. He cannot cast Genjutsu other than the most basic Genjutsu that can be easily broken. FUUINJUSTU: SKILL RANK: E SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION: He's had nothing more than the most basic training in Fuuinjutsu. He can write and cast the most basic seals for the art, but nothing more. | ||||||||

Born with naturally potent Chakra, Kodama was always able to keep up with the adults. His Chakra Reserves continued to grow as he got older, putting the other Shinobi of his age to shame. Due to the high amount of Chakra needed to perform Mokuton Ninjutsu, Kodama naturally developed to that element and it increased his stamina further due to training it. He has Chakra Levels equal to shinobi one rank above his own. Senju Resiliance Due to his distant relation to those of the Uzumaki Clan, Kodama is naturally tougher than most humans. His body is naturally very resiliant and harder to injure. He has tougher skin, stronger bones, and more blood than most people. This combination of perks allows him to resist more damage and endure more pain than the average Shinobi. He also recovers from injuries more quickly. He takes one rank less damage from all techniques of equal or less rank than himself. He also recovers from injuries slightly faster, though this will not effect combat threads. It is flavor only. Indomitable Will Some people know that Kodama is stubborn. To the point where someone would call him thick headed, and that he's going to be killed if he keeps it up. Though Kodama knows that only the strong survive in the Shinobi world. And to be strong, one has to endure. This mindset has been with Kodama his entire life, and has given him the strength of will to endure anything. His spirit will never bend or break, and he will never give up. He resists manipulation and doesn't break from things like Tsukuyomi. He can ignore otherwise crippling pain for 3 posts per thread. He also never freezes up from fear. | ||||||||
