VILLAGE: Konoha ORIGIN: Land of Fire CLAN HISTORY: -- As long as there have been tree's in the land of tire, the sarutobi has made their homes in them. Living in unison with the earth and sky in their tree top dwellings. The sarutobi learned to balance the physical with the spiritual early in the clans formation. This was the chakra used to create the many various ninjutsu the clan has learned. The emphasis on balance and hamony with nature made them natural protectors of the forest that they loved and lived with. This forest grew large and full under the watchfull eye of the sarutobi. At some point early in the sarutobi's creation, two of the clans founders were surveying the forest and cam upon a monkey being chased by a giant tiger through the forest. The brothers acted according to the teaching they had used to found their clan, to protect the weak. They interceded and gave the lion food they had caught earlies in exchange for the monkey's safety. The tiger took the offer and the monkey was saved. As fate would have it the monkey wasn't a normal monkey at all. It was the prince of all monkey's and the prince promised the brothers that whenever they or their family needed him or his, they would be there. With a pack of blood the brothers signed the sarutobi to the Monkey king Contract. As the forest grew the Sarutobi allowed other clans to settle the forests. The Aburame who made there dwellings beneath the ground and the wild Inuzuka who used various caved and rocky hollows to ake their dens. These 3 clans formed a passive alliance to eachother but a steady alliance to the forest they all lived it. With the addition of the two other clans to the forest the Sarutobi didn't need to be spread so thin so they consolidated the clan in a single area of dense trees, the beginning of the forest and the most primal place in all of the Land of fire. : The forest of death. From the forest of death the Sarutobi grew into a force to be reckoned with and for generations the Sarutobi, The Aburame and the Inuzuka clans have kepts the massive forest in the land of fire safe. For generations these 3 clans lived in harmony with the massive forest and suffered no invaders. They were seen as the power of the forest its self. The clans blessed by their connection to nature it's self. It wasn't until the emergence of the Juubi that The Sarutobi clans great forest suffered massive damage. Some have said that if the 10 tailed beast hadn't destroyed the forest in it's rampage than the Sarutobi would have never rallied their forest dwelling brother clans and waged war on the beast. While the Sarutobi of today deny the allegation and consider it an insult, there is no real way of knowing the truth. During the Juubi's rampage the Clan runited under their clan's battle master and armies general. Sarutobi Kyoraiku . The General led the assult on the juubi for his clan, but it would turn out that every clan in the nation of fire had grown to respect his strength and followed him in the final effort, putting aside generations of hatred for a greater good. Then kyoraiku saw the potential for the future of the world in the unity of the fire nation. He set about the final battle with The monkey king at his side, once again cementing the bond between the clan and it's summons in the hear of the people. After his death the Sarutobi clan's leader and 4 other powerfull shinobi had given their lives in order to ensure the future of the ninja world. This act in it's self came to exemplify the true nature of the Sarutobi's ideology put into action in it's purest form. HE died to secure the lives of the unborn and in doing so united a nation of mercenary clans to unite for one cause. The clan saw it as an honor that Their leaders prized student seemed to take up his mantel and lead. They even stood by him as he created the New village just outside the Forest of death and in the heart of the Sarutobi's beloved forest. CLAN IDEOLOGY: -- the ideology if the clan is simple. The strong protect the weak and nurture them to be strong. The Sprout becomes the tree and the babe becomes a man. With time and patience even the weakest sapling can become the mightiest oak. To this effect the clan has an intense emphasis on training and control. The have developed training games and begin weighted clothing training early. While a normally peaceful and generous clan they have a incredibly militaristic mind set. They patrol and report on their forest home and while they obviously allow people to pass through their forest, they don't abide harming the forest or breaking from the path set out. They have been known to protect the forest on multiple fronts from different clans. The clan emphasized defense and offense in equal measure and with the versatility of the monkey contract the clan made a place for it's self in the ranks of ninja royalty, though they never left the forest they protected. CLAN ABILITIES: -- Innate Shinobi Aptitude - The Sarutobi clan don't have what most would consider a clan ability. They have no special Jutsu of their own, they have no special blood to manipulate elements. So its kind of crazy to say they have a clan based ability. Though most would never believe it to look at the clan as a whole, one would begin to see the clan's inherent ability to excel at being Shinobi. Some say they are particularly gifted in the Shinobi Art, that they have abnormally strong Chakra or they can easily master any technique. While all of that is true its not a clan ability, its a rigorous and harsh training regime that the clan has instilled in their youth for hundreds of years. While other clans have legends or stories for their young, the Sarutobi have puzzles and Taijutsu diagrams. While other kids run and play, Sarutobi children run and play while wearing weighted clothing. As they get older the training becomes less and less disguised as games and revealed for what they are. Because of this and the Sarutobi clan being one of the first people to utilize chakra, the members of the Sarutobi have a natural knack for the shinobi arts in general. A hundred generations of militant training and shinobi focused combat gave the Sarutobi a natural aptitude for the shinobi arts,no matter the field of study. This grants the Sarutobi clan +1 letter grade to any specialty of their chosing upon creation. This is not to exceed A-rank and can only be applied to a single stat once. Additionally, the raised state must fall under one of your primary fighting style. If you are a jack of all trades then you could select either specialty to add the point to. Sarutobi Monkey Contract: While not a clan ability per say, the Sarutobi clan has been the exclusive holders of the incredibly powerful monkey contract. While not every member needs to sign the contract every member is able. The contract is said to be one of the strongest summon contracts and that the boss of the contract had a hand in defeating the 10 tailed beast. The contract has a legendary armory that varies monkies draw from and on a rare occasion a few Sarutobi can draw from it as well. This contract also allows Sarutobi, on a very rare occasion, to posses the strongest metal in the world: Adamantine. Sharper than diamond, Harder than any steel, lighter than wood and channels chakra easily. The King of the Contract keeps a special armory of weapons that he can summon at will and can also be used by select few Sarutobi who have embraced the contract. This metal is solely found in the monkey mountains of fruit and flowers. CLAN HIERARCHY: -- This clan works in a simple and militaristic way. The clan leaders word is nearly absolute and disobeying is punishable. The break down from there has been altered from times past. The clan used to have ranks for their members but with the institution of the village and the new shinobi system, The sarutobi altered their hierarchy to fit as a show of solidarity to it's Village.
