CLAN TYPE: Hiden VILLAGE: Yamigakure no Sato ORIGIN: Oni no Kuni CLAN HISTORY: Before the formation Yamigakure no Sato under the then leader of the Akuma clan, the Onigumo clan were a group of ninja who primarily kept to themselves, residing in the thick forests that outline the outskirts of what today is the Land of Demons. Hunters and merchants by trade, the clan would use their superior trapping ability to hunt and sell the carcass of animals while those better at their crafting skills would use their ability to create gold to sell hand made trinkets and weapons to earn a living which accumulated a mass of wealth over time due to the quality of their work. Baba, the first Black Widow forced the clan to keep their hands out of the clan wars that plagued the land in fear of the then medium sized clan being wiped out by the other more powerful clans such as the frequently rampaging Akuma Clan that had an even worse reputation throughout the land than they themselves seemed to have, only allowing her clansmen to fight if it were absolutely necessary. The clan would continue to earn money and prosper, even supplying weapons to other clans within the area, while other clans were being wiped from existence. It wasn't until the clones of the 10 tails began to ravage the lands that Baba's hand was forced by the expressed demands of the clansmen to allow them to fight to help defend this land they called home. Against her better wishes, Baba allowed the clan to join in the defense of the land, forming alliances with both the Akuma and Kuroda clan to have peace between them so that they may fight together and vanquish the greater evil among them. CLAN IDEOLOGY: The clan has no real ideology aside from respect of the Black Widow and to take her words as law within the clan. CLAN ABILITIES: Unique Physiology Members of the Onigumo clan have a unique body structure, possessing two extra pairs of arms, which essentially gave them a total of eight appendages, relating to their spider theme. These hands are fully functional and allow them to add extra power and variety into their taijutsu, hold multiple tools, simultaneously perform multiple tasks, and form several hand seals at once. The clan also possesses three eyes, with the extra eye centered on their forehead. Their third eye increases the clans visual perception similar to that of other famed dojutsu, but only permits them a higher degree of telescopic vision than a normal eye can achieve, allowing members of the clan to clearly see minute details in their surroundings or even objects in the distance that normal people wouldn't be able to see. Spider Sticky Gold The height of the clans hiden ability. With this ability, the Onigumo can release a gold colored liquid metal from their pores and mouths that harden like steel upon contact with the air. The metal has unique chakra blocking properties that make it quite difficult to challenge without some sort of weapon to counter such an ability. CLAN HIERARCHY: The Onigumo clan follows a typical hierarchy were the family follows the lead of one elder matriarch known as the Black Widow. The title of Black Widow is earned by defeating the previous in combat. The title of Widow can ONLY be earned, and is not passed down traditionally through birthright without having earned it. Once a Widow has taken head of the clan, the rest of the clan are to accept her every ruling as law among the clan, disobedience of which is punishable by potential fates such as death if she so deems it worthy. Female members are favored among the clan for their potential to become future matriarchs of the clan, but are still on equal standing to the males as ninja.
