Haruno |
CLAN TYPE:-- Hiden VILLAGE:-- Konoha ORIGIN: -- Kusa no Kuni: The Land of Grass CLAN HISTORY: -- At first, the Haruno Clan were merely farmers. They specialized in many different kinds of flowers and often sold them at markets for goods and such. In the early days of the clan, there was nothing special about the Haruno. Most simply tried to mind their own business, but the world is an evil place. They had no way of defending themselves from their much superior rivals, who would often steal profits from the Haruno farmers. The Haruno earned their name from one man who decided to stand up to his rivals. Haruno, the man, had heard of infusing his chakra into objects to turn them lethal. The next time the clan was threatened, Haruno stepped forward with a handful of flower seeds. He infused each with his chakra causing them to sprout. His manipulation of the newly grown flowers was a surprise to not only the enemy, but the entire clan as well. Of course, Haruno managed to drive away the enemy as they were unprepared to be assaulted by chakra-infused flowers. Everybody rejoiced as the clan finally discovered something that allowed them to stand out from other clans. Haruno was praised as a hero, which led to the official naming of the clan. For years the Haruno fended off attacks with their signature Flower Ninja Art, but at the same time they were forced out of the Land of Grass and towards the Land of Fire. Eventually they arrived in Konohagakure, which is where they assimilated and made their official home. Now the Haruno are mostly just floral merchants of Konoha, but a few have managed to become successful in careers in the medical field. Medical jutsu come easy to the Haruno as they are quite knowledgeable in many aspects of the Earth's biology. Many see the Haruno as an irrelevant clan, but as such, they are finally safe from attacks. CLAN IDEOLOGY: -- After being picked on for many, many years by rival clans, the Haruno know how it feels to be the weak link. A lot of members wish to help others as much as possible. This has caused quite a few of them to look into medical jutsu and a large portion of the Haruno have actually taken up the task of becoming medic-nin. In short, the Haruno Clan just wants to give more than they receive. Their gardening skills are nearly unmatched, which leads a majority of Haruno to the gardening profession. CLAN ABILITIES: -- *Flower Ninja Art (花忍法, Hana Ninpō)- The Flower Ninja Art is exclusive to the Haruno Clan. Every member is raised to learn this Ninja Art, and how it works is a lot simpler said than done. To take advantage of the Flower Ninja Art, the user must have flowers or flower seeds nearby. A lot of Haruno carry around a pouch of seeds with them just in case they get into a conflict. The user infuses their chakra into the seed which allows them to manipulate the flower for a short time. Of course, to grow the seed into a flower, the user must channel Water Release. The flowers are typically thrown like shuriken, but are also capable of being used in more flexible ways such as being used as fuel for ignition of a flame or turning the flowers into explosive tags by chanelling Fire Release into them. *Medical Affinity- The Haruno have a natural affinity for medical jutsu of all sorts. They are experts on plant-life biology, so fauna biology is not much different. The only thing is, in order for a Haruno to actually make use of their knack for medical jutsu, they require proper training. No Haruno is able to just become a Medic-nin on the spot. CLAN HIERARCHY: -- The Haruno have no real need for a hierarchy, as they are not a competitive clan. The 'leader' is the eldest relative to the original Haruno, as the clan believes that bloodline is special. Most decisions, if there are any, are decided by the leader who usually asks other clan members for advice anyways. Haruno would rather focus on gardening or studying medical jutsu.
