Iwagakure

Iwagakure, the Village Hidden by Rocks, is the hidden village of the Land of Earth. As the village of one of the Five Great Shinobi Countries, Iwagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Tsuchikage. The rocky mountain ranges that surround the village provide a natural stronghold that it is very proud of. The village's infrastructure is built from much of the surrounding rock and stone, shaped into tower-like structures. The ground itself is over fifty stories beneath most of the buildings, and is smoothed perfectly. This makes travel in Iwagakure simple and easy, while making the buildings tower over most men, intimidating most men.

The Tsuchikage's residence is the tallest structure with a cone-shaped roof and bears the kanji for "Earth" (土, Tsuchi) on it.

Unknown to many, there is a built in seal around the mountains of Iwagakure. If anyone enters without at least one person in their group being of Iwagakure decent, the mountain will seem to warp and move to kill the intruders.

Niwa Hōseki

Niwa Hōseki is the Nidaime Tsuchikage of Iwagakure. She is highly respected and loved among most of the village. Niwa holds tightly to the philosophy that one cannot prevent and prepare for war at the same time. Do to her putting Iwagakure above all else, she therefore has chosen to prepare for war. She is a hard working, serious person who puts Iwagakure above all else and stands on her own two feet. She is also a genius strategist, making her deadly not only as a shinobi, but as a commander.
