CLAN TYPE: Kekkei Genkai VILLAGE: Konoha ORIGIN: Hi no Kuni CLAN HISTORY: Unlike many of Konoha's clans which were shinobi from the start, the Hatake weren't shinobi at first. They were simple farmers, using their chakra to make pure chakra tools out of nothing, saving a ton of money that would have been used on tools. Back then the clan was so big that they were they're own community, working in the land, and only going into town to either socialize or do business. Of the farmers at the time, they were one of the most successful. This came from their traditions and one set rule in the family that all members follow: ANYTHING you try to do, at one hundred and ten percent. Back then this applied to everything work, love, drawing, working out, everything. It wouldn't be until their farms were attacked that they would start to use their talents as weapons. At noon on a date long ago, their farms were attacked by a group of bandits. They began burning buildings and cutting down wildlife. In anger, the leader created countless kunai of white chakra, flinging them at any bandit he saw. After it was done, and the fires were suffocated, they did their best to recover from the damage they had taken. However these bandits were servants of a corrupt lord, who was angered by his men being defeated by mere farmers. As such he began sending 'rouge' samurai to deal with the farmers. Needing to adapt to the sudden bad blood against them, and wanting revenge against those whoi killed their clan members, the Hatake adopted a form of combat they tried to avoid do to their talents: Ninjutsu. Stealth, back stabbing, use of strange weapons, illusions, . This made them perfectly suited to take down the 'honorable' samurai that cut them down without a question do to their master's orders. It would take years, but soon the clan would have trained enough to get revenge. Storming the Lord's Castle, their light weight arsenal, speed, and skill in being shinobi allowed them to easily over throw them. This came from their earlier rule: ANYTHING you try to do, at one hundred and ten percent. As such they had become extremely powerful shinobi, storming the castle, killing the lord's guards, and them him. Now free, the Hatake decided not to let these talents go to waste. They would become ninja for hire, like many other clans during this period. Eventually they would join the other clans of Hi no Kuni in one mission: capture the Jūbi. However, none of them would be successful no matter what they did. Eventually however there came the creation of the five kage. With this, not just the Hatake, not just Hi no Kuni, but the shinobi world would join together to take down the Jūbi. The Hatake would fight in several battles across the war, but none would matter more than their last. In their last fight against a clone of Jūbi, they would find themselves easily over powering the beast. However, the Jūbi clone would not go down without its special technique. Using its power on the entire clan, it places a special seal on them, a seal that would stay with them until death, and be passed along to all their descendants. This would cut off their ability to use their precious kekkai genkai, their white chakra, ever again. In the creation of Konohagakure, the Hatake has put a much bigger focus on being a shinobi than anything else. Their old rule: 'ANYTHING you try to do, at one hundred and ten percent.' was now 'as a shinobi, you do everything at one hundred and ten percent.' They also managed to discover a special form of chakra conductive metal that allows them to, in a way, wield their white chakra once again. CLAN IDEOLOGY: The Hatake clan doesn't really have any set personality or ideology. Only two things are in common among the Hatake as far as personality. The first is that they all tend to be very relaxed, laid back, and enjoy life, although this is not true among all Hatake, just a majority. The second, which stands out among nearly all Hatake, is their emphasis on being a shinobi. While those who become shinobi are taught to be humble about it with their clan members, most non shinobi clan members tend to see those who can as gifted and among the highest members of the clan. Additionally, the Hatake pride themselves on being one of the few clans who can do everything well. As such most Hatake are expected to be great in every field of the shinobi's fighting style. Other than that the Hatake vary just as much as normal people. CLAN ABILITIES: White Chakra Hatake are born with the special White Chakra. This chakra is, for an unknown reason, stronger than regular chakra. Simply put White Chakra is so strong because it is a physical form of Yang Release. When wielding their unique item a hatake can access their yang chakra to increase their own ability or enhance certain ninjutsu. However if a Hatake wants to use White Chakra they must have Yang Release as one of their chakra natures. If a Hatake removes their seal, they can use their white chakra without these special items. White Chakra Metal The Hatake's special weaponry, the White Chakra Metal. Through this they are able to produce a weakened version of their white chakra. While this may be powerful, the white chakra can only be created if their chakra is put through the metal (and of course with the intention of making white chakra) and after reaching five meters from the metal, the jutsu will turn into normal chakra. Black Seal: A seal placed on the Hatake during their last Jūbi Clone Battle. This seal is on all Hatake clan members, even at birth. Ironically, the seal takes the shape of their Clan Symbol, a bit of an insult from Jūbi. This seal makes it so that any time a Hatake tries to use their unique chakra, a small amount of the Jūbi's chakra goes with it. While this is not enough to give the user extra chakra, it is enough to make White Chakra impossible without the aid of White Chakra Metal. However, it is possible to remove the seal, but specific requirements must be met. First: the person must somehow know how the seal works. Second: they by be A rank in Fuinjutsu Third: they must have an A rank Sealing Jutsu. NO MORE THAN TWO CLAN MEMBERS MAY HAVE THE SEAL REMOVED AT THE SAME TIME! CLAN HIERARCHY: The Hiearchy of the Hatake is more or less a democracy. Majority rule. Every member votes, each having equal say in what happens. Should there be a tie, the 'leader' decides what happens. Whoever is strongest in the clan's Kekkai Genkai normally the figure head 'leader' and represent them at meetings. There is only one iron clad rule for the leader of the clan. They must never speak for the clan in absolutes, only what the majority says.
