Chinoike Clan | CLAN TYPE: Kekkei Genkai VILLAGE: Kumogakure no Sato (Village Hidden in the Clouds) ORIGIN: Kaminari no Kuni (Land of Lightning) CLAN HISTORY:More than a century ago, the Chinoike Clan were a powerful group of mercenaries who roamed the Land of Lightning, revered and feared for their powerful eyes. The Daiymo of the country at the time feared that they could become a threat, and hired Shinobi to drive them out of the land. Battered and driven from their reclusive mountain home in the Valley of Hell. They fled to a similar location in Yu no Kuni (The Land of Hot Water) with the same harsh conditions and naturally forming blood-like pools giving the Chinoike a home away from home in this period of their history. During the Formation Wars Era, the Chinoike Clan was recognized and renowned for their eyes that were said to be as red as blood and could rival the Three Great Dōjutsu. They were a clan built for military use and excelled against many other Shinobi on the battlefield, giving them a reputation throughout the Shinobi World. However, they were also shrouded in mystery as no one knew where they called home, as all that was known was that they were driven out of the Land of the Lightning. During the attacks of the Ten Tails clones, the Chinoike were driven back out of hiding by the Ten Tails clones, whom had attacked the area around their home in Yu no Kuni, and after drawing its attention with their attempted counterattack, left their home itself in a state of total devastation. With nothing left for them in Yu no Kuni, they returned to their homeland after an elder proposed to the Council of Hell that they were indebted to their homeland and did not have to fear the wrath of the Daiymo due to the one that had banished them being long dead. Upon their return to the country, they found themselves fighting alongside their countrymen against the innumerably great threat that was the Ten Tails and it's forces. Finding themselves forcibly allied with the Shodaime Raikage and his forces they fought against the Ten Tails until the climactic final battle of the Gokage took place. Following the foundation of the Shinobi Organizational System as well as the Hidden Villages in the Five Great Shinobi Countries, the Chinoike joined the Hidden Cloud Village and became settled in Kumogakure itself while also reclaiming the Valley of Hell, with it becoming a training ground for the clan and host to the Council of Hell's residence once again. While they trust the Raikage, they steal have a great deal of animosity and mistrust towards the country's Daiymo. CLAN IDEOLOGY:"We are born to fight. We survive the harshest conditions and bloodshed is our truest desire."The Chinoike Clan are dedicated to the arts of war and fighting; and so when the Formation Wars ended they were easily fit into the position of being part of the Military Force of a Village. Previously a clan of mercenaries, they would often sell themselves to any buyer that would pay well enough for their services. They are dedicated to their homeland and extremely protective of the harsh Valley that they now call home, as well as mistrusting of the Lightning Daiymo. They are lead by the "Council of Hell", four of the clan's strongest members and the head of the Clan. CLAN ABILITIES:Ketsuryūgan: The Ketsuryūgan is a dōjutsu kekkei genkai, which appears in certain individuals of the Chinoike Clan; for some unknown reason users of the Ketsuryūgan are unable to utilize the Chinoike Clan's signature Blood Manipulation. The Ketsuryūgan is recognized by its reddish color, giving a special appearance for the users of this dōjutsu, characterized as holders of "eyes as red as blood". The Ketsuryūgan confers enhanced genjutsu casting abilities and improved defense against genjutsu, as well as the common dōjutsu ability to see chakra color and basic flow. Its power earned it comparison to the Three Great Dōjutsu. OR
Blood Manipulation: The more common ability of the Chinoike Clan allows it's users to manipulate blood, although technically it is the manipulation of iron concentrated in the blood. Due to the Valley of Hell's abundance of 'Blood Pools' that have existed their for centuries, the Chinoike Clan have developed to only be able to manipulate an external source of blood, with the degree to which they can manipulate it and the range varying depending on the user's skill and experience. Theoretically they could manipulate any liquid with a high iron concentration, though Blood is what comes most naturally to them. They are unable to manipulate blood while it is still inside of another human body, meaning that they can only manipulate spilled blood. When not using a jutsu with their blood manipulation, it is only very simple in nature and requires them to have had their blood make contact with the blood they wish to use. CLAN HIERARCHY:The Chinoike Clan are governed by the Council of Hell, and each member of the council has a personal sect of the Chinoike forces. The council representatives are elected upon the death of a member, and when the head of the clan passes, the council vote among themselves to decide upon a new head. Parts of the history do not make sense. If they were in the land of hot water why would a different daimyo (as the land of hot water would have their own Daimyo) hire them. Also I think it would be better for them to just create their own village instead of renting their shinobi out to other countries and weakening their own central force, having a permanent contract from the Hot Water Daimyo and the funding for a village just seems like a better solution then living in a country and renting themselves out to other countries and allowing certain ninja to not come back to the clan at all.
As for the eye I will give it the same Genjutsu ability as the sharingan which is to say the use of Genjutsu: Kettsuryugan (which would need to be registered). Also for the SA it would be broken up in two one for the Ketsuryugan and one for Blood Manipulation. As the Blood Manipulation would cover both Distance and how well you are at manipulating the blood.
Which brings us to the blood manipulation or rather iron rich liquid manipulation. I would like to see this hampered in use of others blood as being able to use someone else's blood for free form manipulation would be much too OP. Also I would like it noted that when not using an actual jutsu to manipulate the blood the manipulation is quite simple in nature.

Edited! @reddred - Changed it so that the Valley of Hell is now Jigokugakure no Sato as a result of the contract with the Daiymo and the foundation of the Hidden Villages, so they aren't trading around with other villages. - I will apply for the Genjutsu Kettsuryugan jutsu when the Clan is approved. - Noted in Blood Manipulation that they can not manipulate other people's blood. It's only external sources, like spills, pools, splatters and drops. They can't manipulate blood that is an internal source, such as their own or opponents while still in their bodies. I also noted that without a jutsu it's very simple manipulation. |

also if you do not mind noting that blood that is not theirs takes much more effort than their own
lastly you will need to start the village ICly using a character from this clan to do so all it takes is one thread with the staff NPCing the Daimyo as the clan have already established a name for itself it will be as simple as stating your want for it then finding the land and stated that you started work on it...also please look at the rules for being a village leader as their is a lot to it.

it makes more since to the site plot as of right now you would need to either move them somewhere there are already established shinobi villages or create a village yourself as wandering clans are not a thing on site

Origin/History
- I know I'm probably going to sound contradicting here, but I'd prefer that if you do wish for the Chinoike to originate form the Valley of Death (which is totally fine) that you make their origin be Yu no Kuni (Land of Hot Water/Springs) as is canon. If the daimyou drove the clan out of Kaminari as a whole, then it wouldn't make much sense for them to still be living in the country, even if it's in a secluded valley. As well, it would be more likely that the Chinoike retreated from their Valley to inspect the damage the juubi dealt to the general area, but I don't think it's likely the juubi would have specifically attacked the valley itself.
I am willing to discuss an alternative for the Chinoike to have originated from Kaminari, however, and am not opposed to the idea.
- Just something to keep in mind from in IC standpoint, but due to the Chinoike willingly allying themselves under Kurahama (1st Raikage), as well as partially living outside the village and their distrust of the Lightning daimyo (whom solely helped fund Kumo and make its creation possible), will create a great deal of animosity towards the clan. This is due to Miki's extreme disdain for Kurahama and Miki's desire to ensure Kumo forgets Kurahama altogether. Just to be clear OOC this is fine. I don't plan on attacking just for that.
Everything else looks fine to me.

I would like the trigger needed for the freeform vlood control to be mentioned for example how sand manipulation requires the users chakra to be flowing through said sand before they have any control of it
