CLAN TYPE:- Kekkei Genkai VILLAGE: Yamigakure ORIGIN: Oni no Kuni CLAN HISTORY: -- The Kuroda clan had its start in the harsh winter of a war torn nation before there were hidden villages of shinobi it was clan against clan. However, during this time of constant war and fighting there were a few ninja that did not belong to any set clan, and had no interest but using their skill for money. These rare few were mercenaries and they were even worse than the clans, as at least the clans fought for something, then there was a group of people who did not fit into either category who had no clan but also did not desire to use their skill for money or fame. It was one of these men who started something that would later be called the Kuroda clan. Though his name was lost to legend he has been called the Demonic King by those who care to tell his story, the Demonic King much like the other great man of this warring era had a dream, though unlike the others his dream was not of peace or of ninja villages. Instead he dreamed of freedom where ninja could work in invisible silence while going about their normal day to day life with none being the wiser. He believed that the vanity between clans fame mongering is what led to the constant war state, where even kids could not state their surnames for fear that the child they met may be from a rival clan. Soon others began to seek the way of the Demonic King and for those that expressed an interest to live the way he did he would always appear. He accepted many the only requirements were that they could not be from a clan and that they had to shed their surname take his and promise him a child of his own blood to further his bloodline and Kekkei Genkai as he was the last of his family. They all took the vow to live their life much like the slim hawk who lived free but in the shadows of larger birds of prey, while there was no fame for the likes of the Kuroda he was unfettered he could go anywhere and do anything. The Deomonic King always had twins no whenever he sired children, which he said was the thing that allowed for his odd fighting style and was said to be the best way to utilize his Kekkei Genkai. He chose whom the eldest of his children to be his heir and gave the twin boys the same moniker as their father, though due to one twin living within the other as is always the case with Kuroda twins history sees the twins as one person, it is said that the two (father and son) were so similar that many believed it was the same person who just did not age. He took over after his father died during a mission because of this the Kuroda Clan became much more focused on their military prowess with the new Demonic King teaching the other members of the sect the secret behind his father’s ability and Kekkei Genkai. It was then that the legends arose of the boogeymen of shinobi even to this day most believe the legends to be false. Throughout the formation wars there were a string of mysterious deaths on all sides with no known culprit. The assassinations were usually done on high ranking members of prominent clans usually within the clan’s own compound. The Kuroda clan no longer took outside contracts and lived their lives completely in the shadows becoming ghost and legends the shinobi who controlled the fates of clans as they were able to kill prominent clan leaders in crowded rooms without being seen or heard. Toward the end of the formation war the fourth Demonic King (now a queen), which was now a title passed from parent to child upon becoming the new clan leader, heard several rumors of Oni no Kuni helping with the effort to stop the tailed tailed menace. While this was largely seen as an act that could finally put an end to the nonstop war the Demonic Queen saw this as an alliance and a consolidation of power between multiple clans who would all have a grudge against the Kuroda who were fading slowly realizing their dream of fading into obscurity due to the fact that they were no longer seen or spoken about except for in exaggerated legends. This was way The Demonic Queen decided to join the alliance that was happening in their home country of Oni no Kuni and why they changed from just a legend to a clan that was known throughout the world for their ability to pull off surprise attacks while attacking head on. Their real power within the war against the ten tails was how easily they could take out ten tailed clones by merging with them and killing them from the inside. Though this was mostly kept secret and for good measure as if others found out it would only be a matter of time before they linked the ability to how their clan leaders were assassinated. The Demonic Queen died after the ten tailed battle while attempting to take control of the council that was trying to find a leader for the village that Oni no Kuni was trying to make. Because of this a young boy was now the leader of the clan and the Fifth Demonic King of the clan. Upon the return of Souzen Akuma Kanbei Kuroda the Fifth Demonic King offered his services and as well as his clans services to the Lord of the village in exchange for a place within the village and their own compound and training grounds. This ushered them from the shadows and into the light making it a new dawn for the Kuroda clan. CLAN IDEOLOGY: -- Although relatively new the Kuroda clan is a proud clan. Though they are proud they are not vain and most members of the clan are humble. They do not believe in recognition or fame and rather have been left out of history all together. The clan teaches that true ninja should neither be heard nor seen; they should do what must be done from the shadows then disappear when their work is done. Because of this they operated for years without anyone within Oni no Kuni being the wiser that they were using a Kekkei Genkai or that they were actually helping anything. Although the clan’s actions were known no one could distinguish the clan members from regular people. While most members of the clan take this ideology to the extreme to the point where they strive to not be noticed even in their day to day the younger generation has started to speak out. In fact if it were not for the fact that the clan Hierarchy made it so that a young boy was now the clan leader the Kuroda clan would most likely still be over looked as a legit clan within Oni no Kuni which is exactly how the previous leaders wanted it. The younger generation has taken the ideology quite literally to where it is only when you are working as a ninja should you not be seen or heard. To this point the new clan leader has opted to give the Kuroda their day in the sun by exposing their clan and actually requesting land for their own training area. This has not gone over well with most of the older generation Kuroda though there are some older Kuroda who feel the change is worthwhile while there are some younger Kuroda who believe they should have stayed within the shadows. CLAN ABILITIES: Molecular Devastation Technique Bunshi Kōhai or Molecular Devastation is the Kekkei Genkai held by the Kuroda clan. The ability gives them the unique ability to break their bodies down to a molecular level. This is usually used by the clan members to share their body which allows for surprise attacks from extra limbs. However, it can also be used to merge with the bodies of others and destroy the host's cells from the inside. These two abilities can be used in a myriad of ways including surprise attacks granting extra strength or even killing a ninja from the inside or even controlling their body. The jutsu is not without its drawbacks however as whatever injuries befall the host body will also befall the clan member within the body including death. Also when separating from a host body that is not of their clan the clan member leaving the body will be weakened because of it. Also depending on the jutsu being used when within a body that is not a clan member the users body will begin to breakdown meaning that there is a limit to how long the user can stay within the host body before they are in danger of dying themselves.Identical Twins Although not a special ability all Kuroda clan births are identical twins. Members of the clan that are not born with an identical twin is extremely rare and only one member of the clan at a time will be born without a twin. The twins born have a physically weak twin and a physically strong twin. The weak twin will be more gifted with the Parasite discipline whereas the strong twin is better at using the twin discipline due to being better at physical movement. The strong twin while able to use the parasite discipline won't be as strong in it as the weak twin and the weak twin would be less inclined to control a host body though it is possible. This born without a twin are the only ones within the Kuroda clan that will be equally as good in each discipline though it will start at one rank below their rank. The twin will be an NPC controlled by the one rping the character and will require a second personality of his own.CLAN HIERARCHY: -- The clan's hierarchy system is that of a three pronged council where the leaders of the two disciplines of Kuroda and the clan king or queen discuss all clan business, While the two other members of the council are highly respected and are voted into their positions and their word is valued the clan king who is born into their position has the final say. The king always comes from the same family line meaning that the clan leader (whom can only have one child by clan rules) steps down or dies their son or daughter is now the clan leader (king or queen) no matter their age though if too young the council will advise them and act as king/queen regent until they come of age (which is 15). The clan leader has the ability to overrule and change whatever they like within the clan without the councils help, However, it would not be wise for a clan leader to become a power hungry tyrant because the council members can ask for a vote of instability which basically states that the clan leader is not a responsible leader and that they need to be dethroned until they have a heir to replace them with (or if one is already available no matter the age they become the new leader), This vote is given to the members of the clan and the king has no vote. Also if the leader has no known heirs their is a vote (much like the vote for council) to elect the new royal line and until a new royal line is chosen the council will run things. However, if the clan members decide that the clan leader has been a responsible leader the two council members are executed and a vote is held to find their replacements making this a last ditch effort and a risky card to play which balances the act. The two council members act as the heads of the two different disciplines within the Kuroda clan. The disciplines are the two fighting styles that the Kuroda have grown to master all members of the Kuroda are required a basic knowledge of both but it is not required they master any of the disciplines or even use them in battle. The first is the Demonic Parasite discipline that teaches the Kuroda the ability to invade other living bodies in order to break it down from the inside as well as in some cases control it though that is for those that are much more talented within the ability. The leader of this discipline is usually the best user of the this portion of the Kekkei Genkai though not always. This council member will be in charge of this discipline and be expected to be able to teach the ways of the parasite to each member that wishes to learn. The other council member is a master at the Demonic Twin discipline which focuses on the fact that most of the Kuroda are born as twins with one being physically weaker than the other and takes to living within the physically stronger twins body. This council member is usually the war council while the other is more intelligence and day to day council. This council member prides themselves on their use of the combat readiness of their discipline and is expected to be able to train any who wish to learn within the clan.
